The ideal candidate will apply a \"Platform as a Product\" mindset to lead the development and implementation of robust, scalable, and self-service infrastructure that empowers our software engineers.\nWe are looking for a highly seasoned technical leader with a proven track record in building toolchains and golden paths that accelerate application delivery and ensure compliance by default. You are ideally passionate about Internal Developer Platforms, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, security and governance-by-default, and measuring ROI and platform adoption. You are a highly experienced technical leader who excels at reducing friction for application teams, designing seamless developer experiences, and fostering strong collaboration with software engineers and architects to understand their needs.\nWe aim to deliver a world class payment orchestration platform implemented in GCP and having guaranteed SLAs higher than 99.95%. Endless horizontal scalability, resilience, and secure operations are the name of the game. At the application level we use Go and Java on Kubernetes, and we have a strong preference for managed native services.\nHow You Will Make an Impact:\nLead the development and strategically drive the adoption of Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) and golden paths built on GCP managed services.\n\nDesign, build, and maintain self-service toolchains and CI/CD pipelines that accelerate application delivery for application engineers.\n\nDefine and enforce security and governance-by-default practices into the platform's toolchains and infrastructure (IaC).\n\nPartner with application engineers and architects to ensure the platform delivers endless horizontal scalability and resilience for the payment orchestration system.\n\nMaintain the platform's relevance by continuously evaluating and implementing the latest cloud native technologies and best practices.\n\nChampion a 'Platform as a Product' mindset, promoting a cloud-first and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) approach to platform development.\n\nAct as the Subject Matter Expert for the Internal Developer Platform and developer experience, reducing friction for application teams.\n\nFocus on platform adoption, measuring ROI, and ensuring the platform's stability, security, and efficiency.\n\nContinuously iterate on the platform to maintain and enhance developer experience and compliance across all environments.\n\nDrive a high-performance DevOps culture through mentoring junior/mid-level engineers, knowledge sharing, and setting standards across technical functions.\n\nSkills you will have fine-tuned:\nKnowledge of DevOps practices, with a strong focus on developer experience (DevEx)\n\nStrong operational experience with Kubernetes\n\n7+ years' of experience in Cloud/Platform Engineering roles in a large-scale, high-traffic, cloud-based PaaS/SaaS environment\n\nExtensive experience designing and building platforms in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)\n\nProven expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Terraform or Config Connector, for managing platform and governance components\n\nExpert-level experience in architecting and implementing end-to-end platform observability (log management, diagnostics, metrics, capacity management)\n\nAdvanced expertise in scripting/automation (Bash, and experience with a structured language like Go or Python for tooling), including owning and maintaining core platform tooling\n\nStrong expertise in GCP and knowledge about utilization of managed services within GCP\n\nHands-on experience designing and securing environments for sensitive data (i.e. within PCI-DSS)\n\nDemonstrated experience working with GitOps tools like GitHub, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD\n\nKnowledge of Helm charting and CI pipelines for multi-language applications (Go, Java) is a plus\n\nYou are eager to bring your unique talents and authenticity to the CellPoint Digital community.\n\nYou're constantly curious and a lifetime learner.\n\nYou have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.\n\nYou enjoy leading and supporting cross-functional initiatives and projects in a team where you are empowered and accountable.\n\nYou thrive in a fast-paced environment and the challenge of managing multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing high-return work.\n\nYou approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.\n\nDesired Skills and Experience\nB.S. or higher in Computer Science or related field or applicable experience\n\nExperience in CI/CD systems and methodologies\n\nExperience working with a 24/7/365 high-traffic cloud environment\n\nYou have excellent English communication skills (speaking, writing and reading)\n\nIt would be great but not mandatory if you have:\nPractical expertise in maintaining PCI-DSS compliance, including certifications, audit processes, and standards\n\nWhat's in it for you:\nWe offer you the opportunity to be an innovator, challenge the status quo, and redefine the payments category\n\nCompetitive salary in a fast-growing start-up\n\nMedical insurance with coverage for dependents (parents, spouse, children)\n\nOpportunity for personal and professional growth in a dynamic industry\n\nPlease note, we retain applicant data for 12 months for recruitment purposes and future opportunities, after which it is securely deleted.
