With a growing portfolio of specialist businesses, Celnor provides essential services that protect people, property and the environment.\nWhile each business retains its own identity, culture and technical specialism, all are supported by a central group function that invests in people, systems and long-term sustainable growth.\nJob details\nThis is a newly focused position for someone who enjoys bringing structure, consistency and continuous improvement into a growing business.\nYou will act as a key internal champion for compliance, policies, procedures and management systems, helping ECL strengthen its existing processes and supporting the business on its journey towards recognised environmental and quality ISO standards.\nA major part of the role will involve supporting the development and implementation of systems aligned to ISO 14001, alongside strengthening our wider quality-management framework.\nWe are looking for someone with a strong Health & Safety and auditing background who is comfortable working across the business, reviewing current practices, identifying gaps and ensuring policies and procedures are practical, understood and followed.\nWhat you will do\nTake ownership of ECL’s internal Health & Safety, environmental, quality and compliance processes.\nSupport the development and implementation of an Environmental Management System aligned with ISO 14001, alongside strengthening the wider Quality Management System.\nReview and improve existing policies, procedures, risk assessments and management systems to ensure they remain practical, compliant and effective.\nLead internal audits and compliance reviews, managing audit schedules, findings, corrective actions and preparation for external audits and future ISO certification.\nAct as a champion for policies, procedures and continuous improvement, helping embed good practice across the business.\nWork closely with managers and employees to ensure compliance requirements are clearly understood and consistently followed.\nMonitor relevant legislation, standards and industry guidance, providing advice, training and updates where required.\nInvestigate incidents, non-conformances and areas of concern, maintaining accurate records and providing clear compliance reporting to management.\nWho you are\n We are looking for someone who can combine technical compliance knowledge with the confidence to engage with people across the organisation.\n\nYou will ideally have:\nA strong background in Health & Safety, compliance, quality or integrated management systems.\nGood working knowledge of ISO 14001.\nExperience supporting the implementation, maintenance or improvement of ISO management systems.\nAn understanding of quality-management principles and ISO standards, ideally including ISO 9001.\nPrevious experience carrying out internal audits.\nExperience reviewing and developing policies, procedures and management systems.\nThe ability to identify compliance gaps and turn findings into practical actions.\nStrong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and good practice.\nConfidence working with managers and employees at all levels.\nExcellent written communication and document-control skills.\nA pragmatic approach - able to create processes that work operationally rather than adding unnecessary bureaucracy.\nStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple compliance priorities.\nAn Internal Auditor, Lead Auditor, NEBOSH or similar Health & Safety / compliance qualification would be highly advantageous.\n\nJoin us\nYou’ll be joining a business where your contribution matters and where professionalism, integrity and teamwork are genuinely valued.
