With a growing portfolio of specialist businesses, Celnor provides essential services that protect people, property and the environment.\n\nWhile each business retains its own identity, culture and technical specialism, all are supported by a central group function that invests in people, systems and long-term sustainable growth.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our growing consultancy team.\n\nThis is a varied and client-facing role combining technical assessment, report writing, project management and environmental compliance support. Working closely with our monitoring teams, clients and specialist consultants, you will help deliver practical environmental solutions across a wide range of industrial, commercial and public-sector projects.\n\nThe role offers exposure to a broad range of environmental disciplines, including EPA licensing, environmental compliance, risk assessment, air quality, noise, planning and environmental management. We welcome candidates with experience in one or more of these areas who are interested in developing their expertise across a wider consultancy portfolio.\n\n Key Responsibilities\n\nPrepare and support EPA licence applications, reviews and amendment requests\nCompile technical reports, assessments and environmental submissions\nAssist clients with environmental compliance, reporting and licence management\nPrepare Annual Environmental Reports and other regulatory submissions\nReview monitoring data and assess compliance with licence conditions and environmental standards\nSupport environmental audits, inspections and regulatory interactions\nPrepare Environmental Liabilities Risk Assessments (ELRAs) and Closure, Restoration and Aftercare Management Plans (CRAMPs)\nDevelop environmental risk assessments and mitigation strategies\nUndertake air dispersion modelling assessments and technical reporting\nSupport environmental noise assessments and modelling projects\nProvide environmental inputs to planning applications and development projects\nManage project scopes, programmes, budgets and client deliverables\nPrepare quotations, proposals and scopes of work\nMaintain strong relationships with clients, regulators and project stakeholders\nSupport the continued growth and development of Axis consultancy services\n\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\n\nEssential Requirements\n\nQualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline\nExperience within environmental consultancy, environmental compliance or industrial environmental management\nStrong technical report-writing and data interpretation skills\nExperience preparing environmental assessments, compliance reports or licence submissions\nAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\nFull driving licence valid for driving in Ireland\nWillingness to travel to client sites as required\n\nDesirable\n\nExperience preparing EPA licence applications, reviews and compliance reports\nExperience preparing ELRAs and CRAMPs\nAir dispersion modelling experience using AERMOD or similar software\nEnvironmental noise modelling experience using SoundPLAN or equivalent software\nExperience supporting planning applications and environmental assessments\nKnowledge of Appropriate Assessment, AA Screening and Natura Impact Statements\nGIS and environmental data management experience\nExperience mentoring junior staff or reviewing technical reports\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nWe are looking for a motivated and commercially aware environmental professional who enjoys solving complex environmental challenges and building strong client relationships.\n\nThe successful candidate will be comfortable managing their own projects, delivering high-quality technical work and working directly with clients and regulators.
