With a growing portfolio of specialist businesses, Celnor provides essential services that protect people, property and the environment.\n\nWhile each business retains its own identity, culture and technical specialism, all are supported by a central group function that invests in people, systems and long-term sustainable growth.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nDue to continued business growth, we are seeking a Remediation Technician / Engineer to join our Process Remediation Team within SEED Environmental's Consulting and Remediation Division.\n\nThis is a practical, hands-on role supporting the installation, operation and maintenance of remediation systems used to treat contaminated soil, rock, groundwater and surface water. Working on projects across the UK, you will play a key role in delivering environmental improvements using specialist remediation technologies and equipment.\n\nTraining will be provided and tailored to your experience, making this an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their career, or an individual looking to move into the environmental remediation sector from a related technical, engineering or industrial background.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAssist with the installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of soil and groundwater remediation systems\nCarry out routine servicing, maintenance and fault-finding activities on remediation equipment\nUndertake groundwater, surface water and contaminated land monitoring activities\nCollect environmental samples for laboratory analysis\nRecord monitoring data and system performance using digital systems\nAssist with pumping tests, groundwater recovery exercises and remediation trials\nWork alongside drilling contractors, tanker operators and specialist subcontractors\nMaintain remediation equipment and prepare systems for deployment from the workshop and yard\nLiaise professionally with clients, suppliers, contractors and colleagues on site\nSupport the successful delivery of remediation projects across the UK\n\nSkills, Knowledge, and Expertise\n\nEssential:\nFull UK driving licence\nRight to live and work in the UK\nPractical and hands-on approach to work\nGood problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative\nConfident using hand tools and carrying out installation or maintenance activities\nCompetent IT skills and ability to record data accurately\nStrong communication and organisational skills\nWillingness to travel throughout the UK and stay away from home when required\n\nDesirable:\nDegree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Environmental Science, Earth Sciences, Engineering or a Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation discipline\nExperience within environmental engineering, contaminated land remediation, utilities, facilities management, manufacturing, petrochemicals or a related industry\nExperience working with pumps, compressors, pipework, instrumentation or process systems\nKnowledge of groundwater, environmental monitoring or remediation technologies\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nWe are looking for a practical and motivated individual who is interested in environmental engineering and enjoys working both outdoors and as part of a close-knit team.\n\nThe successful candidate will be eager to learn, comfortable working in a variety of site environments and committed to helping deliver projects that have a positive environmental impact.
