The Team:

You will join the global Competitive Engagement (RFX) team, a high-impact unit within the Value Engineering (VE) organization.

Our mission is to ensure Celonis maintains its market leadership in Process Intelligence and the Enterprise AI market by equipping our field teams with everything they need to succeed in the moments that matter most: complex deals, high-stakes RFX responses, and direct account engagements where differentiation wins.

The Role:

You are a hybrid of a Competitive Strategist, Solution Engineer, and an AI Product Lead.

If you thrive on turning strategic insight into scalable tools (Applied AI products) that help field teams win autonomously, this role was built for you.

The work you’ll do:

• Competitive Deal Advisory: Support Global Account Teams on our most important competitive deals. You help shape the winning strategy behind the scenes, providing tactical guidance and technical differentiation alongside senior VEs. You feel comfortable joining customer meetings when the stakes are high.
• RFX Orchestration & Coaching: Coach account teams and SMEs through the RFX response process. You connect the right experts, share best-practice examples, and keep each response on track to meet every requirement on time.
• Applied AI Product Development: Build and deploy the AI tools that make competitive work scale. This includes agents that automate the RFX response process, plus agents for the rest of a competitive deal cycle: qualifying (bid/no-bid), preparing (discovery briefs, value hypotheses), and learning (win/loss analysis). For example, an agent that turns public company information into a draft "Celonis vs. Competitor X" value hypothesis.
• Scalable Enablement (“Build Once, Enable Thousands”): Facilitate global competitive enablements, especially for Go-to-Market. You adopt a mindset of industrialization: instead of answering the same competitive question 10 times by hand, you build a self-service tool that answers it 1,000 times for the entire global field.
• Market Intelligence: Immerse yourself in the Process Intelligence and Enterprise AI markets. You support our Market Intelligence team in analyzing market shifts and competitor moves, and contribute insights that feed our Product and Executive teams’ view of the market. This includes supporting our analyst evaluations, such as the Gartner MQ.

The qualifications you need:

• Experience: Extensive internship experience or 1-2 years of full-time work in solution engineering, forward-deployed engineering, management consulting, technical pre-sales, competitive intelligence, or a fast-paced technology environment.
• Strategic & Advisory Mindset: You think strategically and can identify the key elements that help account teams differentiate Celonis in a continuously changing competitive landscape. You enjoy transferring your knowledge and coaching them on how to best position Celonis to increase our chances to win.
•  Project & Stakeholder Management: Ability to drive a multi-stakeholder process end to end under deadline. You can orchestrate input from subject-matter experts, sales, and product, keep contributors on track, and help drive the timeline for a high-stakes RFX response.
• Builder DNA: You are an entrepreneur at heart. You spot manual, repetitive work, and your first instinct is to build something that fixes it for everyone.
• Technical Foundation & Hunger to Learn: You bring hands-on experience with SQL and/or Python, and you have already built or experimented with LLM-based tools or AI agents (e.g., side projects). You have a strong desire to grow these skills in an Applied AI context.
• Market Curiosity: A strong desire to master the Process Intelligence landscape and the broader Enterprise AI ecosystem, and to stay current as both move fast.
•   Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into a clear “Value Story” that non-technical sales reps and customers can easily understand

Nice to have (big plus):

• Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with automation platforms like Make.com, n8n, or Zapier to string together complex AI workflows.
• Knowledge Orchestration: Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) concepts and feeding agents with proprietary data and knowledge.
• RFP Experience: Previous experience managing or contributing to complex technical RFPs/RFIs.
• Entrepreneurial Background: Experience starting a side project, a small business, or being part of an early-stage startup team.
