In this role, you will help ensure that all production activities meet safety, environmental, and quality standards, while optimizing daily operations and supporting team development. You will also be responsible for equipment coordination, maintenance planning, and production reporting.\nJob Responsibilities\nWHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO\nAs a Coordinator Production at Cemex, your daily responsibilities will include:\nSafety & Compliance: Promote a culture of safety by ensuring all work is performed in accordance with company, OSHA, and MSHA standards.\nTraining & Development: Ensure team members have the necessary skills to perform their roles safely and effectively. Participate in safety committees, training programs, and risk assessments.\nEnvironmental Responsibility: Oversee compliance with environmental regulations across plant operations.\nProduct Quality: Support product quality by collaborating with Quality Control and other departments to troubleshoot and maintain high standards.\nOperations Oversight: Monitor and manage plant equipment, oversee production performance, and ensure equipment startup/shutdown procedures are followed.\nWorkforce Planning: Assign work schedules, authorize overtime, and ensure adequate staffing.\nEquipment Maintenance: Initiate and follow up on maintenance work orders. Ensure equipment is operating reliably and efficiently.\nReporting & Documentation: Complete daily production reports, track issues, and report unsafe areas or practices.\nCoordination: Support logistical operations by managing shipments of cement and communicating quarry operations to relevant teams.\nQualifications\nWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR\nTo succeed in this role, you should bring:\n Educational and Licensing Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent education/experience. MSHA certification (or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe).\nExperience: 3 to 5 years of experience in operations or a related industrial role. Supervisory experience preferred. Cement process experience is a plus.\n Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software systems; strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent troubleshooting and decision-making abilities; strong attention to detail and ability to manage priorities; effective teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills; ability to operate heavy equipment and physically perform essential job functions; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\n.\nWorking Conditions\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nSafety First: Wearing protective equipment and adhering to safety protocols is a must. \n Dynamic Environment: Work in outdoor and indoor environments, with exposure to physical labor and harsh conditions (extreme heat, humidity, extreme cold, noise, dust).\n Physical Requirements: Frequent walking, standing, lifting (up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently), pushing, pulling, and climbing will be part of your daily routine. Must be physically able to perform all essential job functions, including the ability to communicate verbally using a phone and radio, to hear verbal commands and audible alarms in order to safely operate around large mobile equipment and automatic conveyor belt systems. Must be able to pass a physical exam to include back x-ray, vision test, hearing test, functional capability evaluation, respiratory fit test and drug / alcohol screen.\nWork Schedule: Employees are expected to work varying shifts as needed, which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays to meet operational needs.\nWork Location: This position is required to be performed in person at the assigned worksite.
