In this role you will oversee the daily operations of our block plant, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. We are seeking a leader who is not only adept at managing processes but also at inspiring a team.\nJob Responsibilities\nWHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO\nAs a Block Plant Supervisor at Cemex, your daily responsibilities will include:\nSafety Leadership: Lead by example with a strong focus on safety and team development.\nProduction Management: Oversee the production of concrete blocks, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.\nTeam Leadership: Lead a team of operators and technicians, providing training and support to maximize performance.\nLogistics Coordination: Collaborate with logistics and sales departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.\nEquipment Maintenance: Oversee plant equipment maintenance and repairs to reduce downtime.\nTechnical Repairs: Perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs, along with preventative maintenance.\nContinuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance production efficiency and improve product quality.\nQualifications\nAssociate degree and/or equivalent in related areas\n5 years experience in a production supervisory role\nA working knowledge of all aspects of control circuits\nMetal fabrication (welding and cutting)\nA basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic controls and assemblies\nKnowledge of mix design and material requirements\nBasic OSHA requirements\nWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR\nTo succeed in this role, you should bring:\nEducational and Licensing Requirements: High school diploma or higher.\nExperience: Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or plant environment.
