Apply today!\nJob Details\nWe are seeking a Finance Director to provide FP&A leadership and strategic financial partnership across key areas of the business, including Specialty Solutions (APS) and Health Systems & Government Services (HGS).\nThis role will lead core planning, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance management activities while serving as a trusted partner to senior business leaders. The Finance Director will translate financial and operational data into actionable insights, develop business cases and financial models for strategic initiatives, and help leaders evaluate investments, opportunities, risks, and trade-offs.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong FP&A expertise with the ability to think commercially, influence decisions, and communicate complex financial concepts clearly to senior stakeholders.\nResponsibilities\nLead annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and periodic estimate processes, aligning financial plans with business priorities.\nAnalyze financial performance across revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, capital expenditures, and headcount, identifying key trends, risks, opportunities, and business drivers.\nPartner with senior leaders across HGS & APSto provide financial guidance and support strategic and operational decision-making.\nDevelop business cases, financial models, scenario analyses, and investment evaluations for new opportunities, strategic initiatives, and current- and future-state solutions.\nLead monthly financial and management reporting, translating results into clear insights and recommendations for leadership.\nPartner closely with Accounting to support accurate and timely financial close and reporting processes.\nEvaluate the financial impact and return of key projects, investments, and business initiatives, including capital expenditure requests.\nSupport business leaders in assessing growth opportunities, resource allocation, profitability, productivity, and other strategic trade-offs.\nDrive improvements to FP&A processes, reporting capabilities, financial systems, tools, and data to strengthen decision support and efficiency.\nLead, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance team, establishing clear expectations while fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.\nLead and support ad hoc financial analysis and strategic projects as business needs evolve.\nEducation and Work Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline required.\n10 + years of progressive corporate finance/FP&A experience, with demonstrated experience supporting complex business organizations.\nPrevious people leadership or management experience required.\nDemonstrated experience with financial planning, forecasting, modeling, business cases, and executive-level financial analysis.\nExperience partnering directly with senior business leaders on strategic and operational decisions.\nMBA, CPA, or other relevant advanced qualification preferred.\nHealthcare, healthcare solutions, pharmaceutical, distribution, or similarly complex industry experience preferred.\nSkills and Knowledge\nStrong FP&A foundation with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, variance analysis, and financial modeling.\nAbility to develop robust business cases and scenario models and translate analysis into actionable recommendations.\nStrong business acumen with the ability to connect financial performance to commercial and operational drivers.\nDemonstrated ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.\nAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and sound financial judgment.\nExcellent executive-level communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.\nStrong leadership skills with experience developing finance talent.\nAdvanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial planning, ERP, reporting, AI and business intelligence tools.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.\nWhat Cencora offers\nWe provide compensation, benefits, and resources that enable a highly inclusive culture and support our team members’ ability to live with purpose every day.
