Apply today!\nJob Details\nPosition Summary:\nWe are seeking a Finance Solution Architect who combines deep knowledge of finance and accounting processes with strong technical expertise to design and deliver scalable, modern finance solutions. This role requires the ability to translate complex business requirements into robust technology architectures that enable efficiency, compliance, and innovation across global finance operations.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSolution Design & Architecture: Develop end-to-end finance solution architectures that align with business processes, regulatory requirements, and enterprise technology standards.\nBusiness Process Translation: Understand finance and accounting terminology and workflows (e.g., procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, tax compliance) and translate them into functional and technical specifications.\nTechnology Integration: Design solutions leveraging modern finance technologies such as SAP, Vertex, Vistex, Esker, Ariba, Concur, and advanced data tools for analytics and automation.\nStakeholder Collaboration: Partner with finance, IT, and business teams to ensure solutions meet operational needs and strategic objectives.\nBest Practices & Governance: Apply industry best practices for finance systems architecture, data integrity, and security while ensuring compliance with global standards.\nContinuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and technology enhancements to drive efficiency and scalability.\nDevelop and maintain target state architectures and roadmaps aligned with business strategy and technology trends.\nProvide architectural leadership and ensure stakeholder alignment across business and technical teams.\nDeliver end-to-end architecture designs across business, data, application, and technology domains.\nDefine and uphold architectural best practices, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and fit for purpose.\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nDesign scalable, flexible solutions aligned with business needs using modern technologies (e.g. microservices, orchestration, data integration).\nIT Strategy & Planning: Contribute to enterprise architecture roadmaps and ensure alignment of projects with architectural standards.\nEnterprise Roadmaps: Define and present target architectures and migration plans; promote standardization across Corporate IT.\nDevelopment Support: Guide teams on implementing architecture, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring delivery meets business KPIs.\nGovernance & Standards: Develop and maintain IT policies; support architecture reviews and advocate EA principles.\nCollaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work across teams to build capability and share expertise.\nStakeholder Engagement: Liaise with Enterprise Architecture, Security and Audit to ensure robust, secure solution designs.\nQualifications:\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPA, SAP Architect) preferred.\n\nExperience:\nProven experience implementing and integrating ERP and finance systems in large-scale environments.\n\n5+ years as a Solution Architect across financial applications, data, and security domains.\n\n3+ years of experience in cloud technologies, APIs, and modern development frameworks.\n\nStrong communication, critical thinking, modelling, and risk analysis skills.\n\nCustomer-focused with excellent interpersonal and consensus-building abilities.\n\nProven consultancy skills across business analysis, IT architecture, infrastructure, cloud, and software design.\n\nSkills:\nStrong knowledge of finance and accounting systems and technologies.\n\nExpertise in system integration, data modeling, and process automation.\n\nFamiliarity with agile delivery methodologies and enterprise architecture frameworks.\n\nCore Competencies:\nLeadership: Ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams toward shared goals.\n\nStrategic Thinking: Strong capability to align technology solutions with long-term business objectives.\n\nTechnical-to-Business Translation: Skilled in bridging the gap between technical design and business requirements for clear, actionable solutions.\n\nModern Finance Technology Expertise : Deep understanding of ERP systems (SAP), ServiceNow, tax engines (Vertex), pricing/rebate tools (Vistex), automation platforms (Esker), procurement solutions (Ariba), travel & expense systems (Concur), and data analytics tools.\n\nCommunication & Collaboration: Exceptional ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nWhat Cencora offers\nWe provide compensation, benefits, and resources that enable a highly inclusive culture and support our team members’ ability to live with purpose every day.
