For more than 50 years, we have delivered time-critical, temperature-controlled, and highly regulated shipments worldwide, ensuring patients receive the therapies they need safely and on time.\nWe are looking for a Customs & Trade Compliance Specialist to manage import and export customs operations, ensuring efficient clearance, regulatory compliance, and seamless coordination across our global logistics network.\nThe Customs & Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for coordinating customs clearance activities for inbound and outbound shipments, preparing customs documentation, liaising with authorities and service providers, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and World Courier procedures.\nThis role is critical to supporting the movement of highly regulated healthcare products across international borders.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage import and export customs declarations using EDI systems and customs platforms.\nPrepare customs documentation, tariff classifications and customs valuation in compliance with applicable regulations.\nCoordinate customs clearance activities for pharmaceutical, biological, controlled and other regulated products.\nMonitor shipments from origin to final delivery, ensuring timely customs processing and shipment visibility.\nCommunicate with customers, customs authorities, airlines, brokers and World Courier offices worldwide.\nSupport specialized clearances requiring permits, inspections or regulatory approvals.\nMaintain accurate customs records, electronic files and compliance documentation.\nMonitor customs charges, airfreight costs and shipment-related expenses.\nEnsure compliance with World Courier SOPs, customs regulations and trade requirements.\nInvestigate and resolve customs or shipment-related issues to minimize operational disruptions.\n.\nWhat We're Looking For\nExperience & Education\nExperience in Customs Brokerage, Freight Forwarding, Logistics or International Trade.\nStrong knowledge of import/export procedures, customs documentation, TARIC and Incoterms.\nExperience handling customs clearance for regulated products is highly desirable.\nPrevious experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or time-critical logistics environments is a plus.\nFluent English and Spanish required.\nSkills\nStrong attention to detail and compliance mindset.\nExcellent organizational and multitasking abilities.\nAbility to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.\nEffective communication and stakeholder management skills.\nProactive, reliable and solution-oriented approach.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and customs-related IT systems.\nWhy Join World Courier?\nWork for the global leader in healthcare logistics.\nBe part of an international network supporting life-saving therapies.\nGain exposure to highly specialized customs and regulatory operations.\nGrow your career within Cencora, a company dedicated to creating healthier futures.\nIf you have a passion for international trade, customs compliance and healthcare logistics, we'd love to hear from you.\nWhat Cencora offers\nBenefit offerings outside the US may vary by country and will be aligned to local market practice.
