Apply today!\nJob Details\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join our team. This role involves providing technical development and support of an SAP ERP system. Experience with both ECC and S4 in a productive environment is needed. The system is undergoing a brownfield migration to S4.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAnalyzes system operations through monitoring, capacity analysis and root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.\n\nAssists in the overall maintenance and support of the efficient software solutions. Collaborates with technology teams across the Organization to leverage resources and expertise, establish software best practices and standards, and build for partnerships with IT teams.\n\nResponsible for program designs, development, unit testing, peer reviews in an SAP ABAP environment.\n\nResponsible for identifying development tasks in support of project planning and estimation.\n\nParticipates in and makes performance recommendations to code during peer reviews.\n\nWorks with functional and business users to troubleshoot issues in production.\n\nStrong knowledge and hands on experience of software development life cycle (SDLC), modeling of business processes, application design patterns, and business/functional documents\n\nSupports the building and maintenance of an Enterprise portfolio to support Application capabilities lifecycle and roadmap initiatives.\n\nAdvises business areas in the analysis of innovative technologies and how they impact the broader Enterprise Architecture\n\nAnalyzes industry standards and trends in integration technologies.\n\nProvides technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members.\n\nConducts SAP unit testing to ensure systems meets user specifications.\n\nMay participate in the project planning process with team members.\n\nMay meet with process team to analyze business processes, understand requirements, and recommend technical solutions...\n\nMay analyzes existing SAP platform to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements, when assigned.\n\nTroubleshoots existing information systems to identify errors or deficiencies and develop solutions.\n\nWorks with functional users to troubleshoot issues in production.\n\nTroubleshoots and resolves production problems.\n\nEscalates issues to manager and admin and process teams where necessary.\n\nIdentifies recurring and potential problems and recommends procedures and controls for prevention.\n\nRecommends ideas for improving production support.\n\nDocuments technical design and test activities/results\n\nFollows established change control procedures.\n\nProvides input to the development and maintenance of development standards for full life cycle implementations or upgrades.\n\nAssists in evaluating new SAP application development tools.\n\nProvide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members.\n\nAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing\n\nStrong mathematical and analytical skills\n\nStrong organizational skills; attention to detail\n\nGood conceptual and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply applications knowledge to identify appropriate solutions\n\nGood interpersonal skills; effective team player\n\nExperience & Educational Requirements:\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.\n\nSAP ECC & S4 experience in a productive environment is required.\n\nCurrent SAP certification is desired.\n\nTen (10+) of progressively responsible experience in SAP ABAP development, including expertise in ABAP Workbench, ABAP Objects, BAPI, BADI, IDOCs, BDC, and ALV programming.\n\nStrong hand-on experience with advanced CDS view development and design.\n\nExperience and strong understating of SAP coding techniques in software engineering such as work processes, parallel processing, interface techniques, enhancement techniques, DDIC and ABAP tuning.\n\nBasic experience in SAP Fiori (on-premises and cloud) and web user interface technologies : SAPUI5, and Web IDE.\n\nProficiency in Extending existing S/4, and/or writing entirely new S/4 programs and functions, CDS tools using ABAP in Eclipse (ADT), and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP).\n\nStrong understanding of SAP coding techniques, software engineering principles, and performance optimization.\n\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong analytical and organizational abilities\n\n.\nBachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.\nMaster's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.\n10+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, software architecture, or a related field required.\nCertification in software architecture, cloud platforms, or equivalent preferred.\nWhat Cencora offers\nBenefit offerings outside the US may vary by country and will be aligned to local market practice.
