Apply today!\nJob Details\nJob Title: LGV Driver (Class C)\nLocation: Plymouth\nWork Pattern: Full Time, Permanent\nSalary: £31928 per annum plus night premium apply after 6pm until finish time\nSummary of Role\nWe are looking for a safety-focused and reliable LGV Driver (Class C) to join our Cross Dock Centre team in Plymouth. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering customer orders across the South of England, ensuring products arrive safely, accurately, and on schedule. You will play a key role in maintaining excellent customer service standards while operating in line with transport regulations, health and safety requirements, and company procedures.\nResponsibilities\nDeliver customer orders across the South of England in line with scheduled routes and delivery times.\nEnsure deliveries are completed accurately, consistently, and to a high standard.\nOperate LGV vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with road transport legislation.\nComply with Drivers' Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive requirements, and company policies.\nMaintain high standards of vehicle care and fuel-efficient driving.\nWork collaboratively with colleagues to support operational objectives and service levels.\nMeet operational performance targets and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\nFollow safe working practices and report any issues, incidents, or non-compliance promptly.\nSkills and Knowledge\nValid HGV Class C or C+E driving licence.\nDriver CPC qualification and valid Digital Tachograph Card.\nPrevious experience driving commercial vehicles, including rigid or articulated vehicles.\nGood geographical knowledge of the UK road network.\nStrong understanding of tachograph regulations and Working Time Directive requirements.\nAbility to complete tachograph manual entries accurately.\nAbility to follow instructions and work to established procedures.\nGood numeracy skills and attention to detail.\nDesirable\nExperience working within a distribution, logistics, or transport environment.\nKnowledge of Microlise or similar driver performance systems.\nExperience delivering to multiple customer locations.\nUnderstanding of transport compliance and operational KPIs.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills.\nAbility to build positive working relationships with colleagues and customers.\nExperience contributing ideas for process improvements.\nFlexible approach to working hours to support business needs.\nBenefits\nCompetitive salary.\nCompany pension scheme.\nAnnual holiday entitlement.\nOvertime opportunities where business needs require.\nOngoing training and development.\nSupportive team environment.\nOpportunity to work for a leading healthcare supply chain organisation.\nCareer progression opportunities within a growing business.\n.\nHigh School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.Less than 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, courier operations, delivery services, or a related field required.\nCertification in dangerous goods awareness, licensure in operation of the applicable vehicle class, cold chain handling, or equivalent required.\nWhat Cencora offers\nBenefit offerings outside the US may vary by country and will be aligned to local market practice.
