Apply today!\nJob Details\nThe Data Governance Manager is responsible for assessing, shaping, and advancing data governance across Cencora’s International Business Group (IBG). Covering multiple countries including the UK, Norway, France, Spain, Germany, Türkiye, Czech Republic, Romania, and the USA, this role will evaluate current data governance maturity across a diverse set of business units spanning pharmaceutical wholesale, third-party logistics, and specialty courier.\nThe role will map existing capabilities, identify gaps and risks, and develop a practical roadmap to strengthen data governance across IBG. Working closely with in-country resources and cross-functional stakeholders, the role will help establish consistent governance practices that improve data quality, ownership, transparency, compliance, and responsible data use.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAssess current data governance maturity across IBG countries and business units.\nDevelop and maintain a roadmap to improve data governance capabilities across the organization.\nCoordinate governance councils, working groups, policies, standards, and decision tracking.\nDefine and support data ownership, stewardship, critical data elements, and business glossary standards.\nOversee data quality rules, monitoring, issue remediation, and closure tracking.\nSupport metadata, lineage, and data catalog practices in partnership with platform and technology teams.\nHelp manage governance controls related to access, privacy, retention, and ethical use of data.\nPartner with in-country teams to drive change management, communication, training, and adoption of governance practices.\nProvide leadership and guidance to cross-functional and local resources supporting the data governance agenda.\n.\nQualifications and Experience required:\nBachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, data management, statistics, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.\n5+ years of experience in data governance or data management (e.g., data quality, metadata, lineage, mdm, data policy), or a related field required.\n2+ years of experience in a matrix management capacity required.\nFluent English language skills.\nStrong understanding of governance frameworks, stewardship, metadata, lineage, and data quality practices.\nExperience working across multiple countries, business units, and stakeholder groups in a complex organization.\nAbility to assess current maturity and translate findings into practical improvement plans.\nStrong stakeholder management, communication, and change management skills.\nCertified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), or equivalent certification preferred. Certification in EDM Council Data Management Capability Assessment Model (DCAM) or Cloud Data Management Capabilities (CDMC) preferred.\nExperience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, logistics, or other regulated industries preferred.\nWhat Cencora offers\nBenefit offerings outside the US may vary by country and will be aligned to local market practice.
