Apply today!\nJob Details\nWe're hiring a Project Manager - Warehouse Automation & Engineering join our Global Supply Chain team at Cencora.\nUnder general direction of a senior-level Management, responsible for the overall management of the warehouse automation design, detailed material flow design and project execution according to an established project charter and project requirements documents of one to multiple projects at one time which can range in size, complexity and cross functional involvement. The projects will be for Cencora subsidiaries or its trading partners, and examples of the type of project include new facility design and construction, rework of existing facilities, new warehouse automation system and/or process implementations across multiple sites.\nResponsibilities:\nWorks closely with project director or operations director to assist in the development of a project charter and manages components of the project design and implementation plans according to the guidelines established in the project charter.\nManages and reports on project budgets and timelines according to project assignments made by either the project director or the operations director.\nSupports in the development of supplier specifications, supports the contractual negotiations and manages the execution of the plans outlined in the contracts.\nManages engagement with external consultants and other outsourced resources that perform work associated with items such as material handling equipment, warehouse and business systems, building modifications and other various services.\nCoordinates activities with project director or operations director and other internal project teams to ensure alignment.\nAssists in the preparation of capital expenditure requests for projects.\nResponsible for project completion according to assignments including but not limited to construction/installation, inspection, testing, training, and start up.\nWilling to travel up to 75% of the time.\n.\nExperience and educational requirements:\nBachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation engineering, computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.\n5+ years of experience in enterprise systems, warehouse or supply chain applications, automation, controls, SCADA, and technical leadership, or a related field required.\n2+ years of experience in a management capacity required.\nSkills and Knowledge requirements:\nDemonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience leading projects related to warehouse operations, warehouse design, warehouse and business systems, process improvement and standardization, engineered labor standards, and transportation.\nAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to communicate (and work) effectively with people from different technical and business backgrounds, acting as a liaison, understanding and appreciating different perspectives and translating into terms necessary for any group or individual to understand.\nAbility to lead dynamically and energize work teams to learn and apply new skills and techniques to respond to business needs\nGood analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions\nStrong interpersonal skills\nUnderstands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.\nStrong presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences\nStrong organizational skills; attention to detail\nAbility to resolve issues effectively and efficiently\nProficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Access databases, Word and AutoCad\nPrior experience in either consulting, Six-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or Kaizen is beneficial.\nWhat Cencora offers\nBenefit offerings outside the US may vary by country and will be aligned to local market practice.
