This fully remote, U.S.-based role offers a unique opportunity to combine ownership of cloud-based marketing applications with platform expertise and enablement. The Marketing Technology Specialist will collaborate with Marketing, Information Technology, and other internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and scale marketing and event tools and processes that support key business initiatives.\nThis role is key in supporting adoption, implementation, and consistent use of marketing and event technology platforms by executing onboarding, configuration, testing, and ongoing end-user support.\nThe Marketing Technology Specialist owns day-to-day operation of designated tools, while operating under platform oversight for architecture, integrations, and advanced configurations. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset and technical expertise related to marketing and event applications, ensuring Cencora’s marketing tools are optimized to deliver exceptional results.\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:\nTool Ownership and Platform Stewardship:\nServe as a primary platform steward and operational owner for assigned marketing and event technology tools. \nMaintain and curate best practices, job aids, and documentation for assigned marketing and event technology tools. \nManage user accounts, administration, and ongoing platform maintenance. \nFacilitate Information Security, Legal, Privacy, and compliance reviews for marketing and event technologies in partnership with IT, Legal, and Risk teams, ensuring tools meet organizational standards prior to implementation and during lifecycle changes. \nCollaboration and Enablement:\nEstablish and maintain strong relationships with Marketing business partners and IT teams to deliver effective technical solutions. \nPartner with Marketing and IT to align technology solutions with business goals and priorities. \nExecute change management deliverables including onboarding, training, and ongoing education for end-users as part of platform implementations and enhancements. \nTechnical Support and Problem Resolution:\nInvestigate, resolve, and escalate technical issues, ensuring timely resolution. \nManage bug/issue resolution processes and provide recommendations for improvement. \nAnalyze performance metrics to ensure customer satisfaction and optimize platform functionality. \nProcess Improvement and Strategy:\nAssist in business process redesign and continuous improvement efforts to enhance performance and functionality. \nContribute to short- and long-term planning sessions to align technology initiatives with business objectives. \nDevelop structured requirements processes to assess client needs and identify priorities. \nAssist with complex integrations and architectural decisions \nConfigure assigned tools based on approved requirements and standards. \nSupport implementation of new marketing and event technology capabilities and tools. \nTesting and Validation:\nDevelop and execute user test cases; validate test results during testing phases. \nProvide input on system enhancements and assist in post-implementation efforts. \nVendor and Account Management:\nSupport vendor relationships and account administration for assigned tools, including ticket coordination, documentation, and renewal support. \nEnsure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with contractual agreements. \nExperience and Educational Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. \nMinimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in digital marketing, marketing technology, or technical roles. \nWorking knowledge of business operations, systems requirements processes, and marketing technology platforms. \nExperience with cloud-based marketing applications and tools. \nStrong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders effectively. \nExcellent verbal and written communication abilities. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to work collaboratively within a team and manage cross-functional relationships. \nKnowledge of change management principles and end-user training strategies. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in project management or process improvement methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma). \nFamiliarity with marketing tools such as marketing automation and event management technologies as well as CRM platforms, or analytics software. \nCvent event technology experience \nWhat Cencora offers\nWe provide compensation, benefits, and resources that enable a highly inclusive culture and support our team members’ ability to live with purpose every day.
