Apply today!\nJob Details\nMulti Drop Delivery Driver\nThis role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.\nDepartment: Transport\nLocation: Cardiff Service Centre\nReports To: Driver Team Manager\nHours of work: 48 hours Per Week (Monday - Saturday)\nSalary: £37,140.48 per annum\nJob Purpose:\nTo ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of assembled product and invoices to the customer within the corporate guidelines.\nKey Accountabilities\nTo maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.\nTo have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.\nTo report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.\nTo maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.\nTo ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.\nTo maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.\nTo check all orders shown on the dropsheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.\nTo collect goods returned for credit, mail, cheques or delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at all times.\nTo ensure Housekeeping standards are maintained.\nEnsure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.\nTo maintain a smart appearance at all times.\nTo help maintain good customer relations.\nTo be involved in other duties as may be defined from time to time by the Management.\nMeet all Health & Safety requirements.\nCompetencies\nBuilding Customer Loyalty - Effectively meeting customer needs; building productive customer relationships; taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty.\nCommunication - Clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.\nContributing to Team Success - Actively participating as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals.\n|Initiating Action - Taking prompt action to accomplish objectives; taking action to achieve goals beyond what is required; being proactive.\nSafety Awareness - Being aware of conditions that effect employee safety.\n.\nKnowledge, Skills and Experience Required:\nEssential\nA full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven\nFor insurance purposes, all drivers must be over 21 years of age\nExisting employees must update fleet services accordingly with any changes to their license status e.g. points on their license, driving bans etc\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nExcellent Customer care\nIntermediate Numeracy and Literacy\nDesirable\nPrevious experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable\nRoute planning experience\nMANUAL HANDLING\nIt should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are “essential requirements” of this role.\nWhilst Alliance Healthcare is committed to developing positive policies to promote equal opportunities in employment, we have a duty of care to ensure we do not instigate or worsen any conditions that would prevent the employee from carrying out manual handling duties.\nOn that basis, for this role we cannot make “reasonable adjustments” for any applicant who is unable to carry out such duties.
