Apply today!\nJob Details\nWarehouse Operative\nLocation: Castle Cary\nWork Pattern: Full Time, Permanent\nSummary of Role:\nWe are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse operation in Castle Cary. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety and productivity.\nWorking as part of the warehouse team, you will be responsible for receiving, handling, storing and dispatching products while ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately. The role offers stable, full-time hours of 37.5 hours per week.\nResponsibilities\nAccurately pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch\nReceive, check and put away incoming stock deliveries\nLoad and unload vehicles safely and efficiently\nMaintain accurate inventory and stock control procedures\nOperate warehouse equipment in line with company procedures and training\nEnsure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety requirements\nKeep warehouse areas clean, organised and free from hazards\nSupport colleagues and contribute to achieving operational targets\n.\nSkills and Knowledge\nGood attention to detail and accuracy\nAbility to work effectively within a team environment\nStrong organisational and time management skills\nUnderstanding of warehouse health and safety practices\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions\nBasic numeracy and literacy skills\nFlexible and reliable approach to work\nCommitment to delivering high standards of service\nExperience and Qualifications\nPrevious warehouse, logistics or distribution experience is desirable\nExperience of picking, packing, goods-in or goods-out operations would be advantageous\nExperience using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems is beneficial\nForklift or MHE experience would be advantageous, although not essential\nRight to work in the UK\nDesirable\nExperience working within a fast-moving warehouse environment\nPrevious experience working to productivity or performance targets\nKnowledge of stock control processes\nMHE licences or certifications\nBenefits\nCompetitive salary\nFull-time permanent opportunity\nCompany pension scheme\nTraining and development opportunities\nEmployee assistance and wellbeing support\nInclusive and supportive team environment\nOpportunities for career progression\nOn-site facilities and staff benefits\nHours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
