Apply today!\nJob Details\nPosition Summary:\nThe Payroll Specialist is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services for assigned countries or entities. This role manages end-to-end payroll processing, ensures compliance with legislative and company requirements, supports payroll projects, and collaborates with HR, Finance, external payroll providers, and employees to resolve payroll-related matters.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPayroll Operations\nProcess end-to-end payroll accurately and on time for assigned countries or business units.\nValidate payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, allowances, leave, and deductions.\nReview payroll reports and reconcile payroll data prior to final approval.\nProcess off-cycle and manual payments where required.\nSupport year-end payroll activities, including tax reconciliations and statutory reporting.\n\nManage payroll enquiries and requests through the ticketing system, ensuring tickets are actioned within agreed service level agreements and escalated where appropriate.\n\nCompliance\nEnsure payroll processing complies with relevant employment legislation, taxation, superannuation/social security, and company policies.\nMaintain payroll records in accordance with audit and compliance requirements.\nSupport internal and external payroll audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations.\nMonitor legislative changes and recommend process updates where required.\nSystems & Data Management\nMaintain payroll master data and ensure data integrity between HRIS, time and attendance, and payroll systems.\nInvestigate and resolve payroll system issues and interface exceptions.\nPerform payroll reconciliations and identify opportunities to improve data accuracy.\nEmployee & Stakeholder Support\nRespond to employee and manager payroll enquiries in a professional and timely manner.\n\nWork Closely with external payroll providers to ensure payrolls are processed accurately on time and in compliance with legislative requirements.\n\nPartner with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors to resolve payroll issues.\nBuild effective relationships with internal and external payroll providers.\n\nCoordinate with external payroll providers to investigate and resolve payroll issues, data discrepancies and system interface exceptions.\n\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify payroll process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.\nAssist with payroll system implementations, upgrades, testing, and process documentation.\nContribute to standard operating procedures and knowledge articles.\n.\nWork Experience:\n3-5 years of payroll experience in a medium to large organization.\nHands-on experience with ADP Payroll (mandatory).\nKnowledge of payroll compliance, taxation, and statutory requirements for India and/or Australia.\nExperience with Workday or SuccessFactors is an advantage.\nManage end-to-end payroll processing accurately and on time.\nExperience in Australian payroll terminations, including ATO, STP, and Payday Super.\nExperience handling Full & Final Settlements (F&F) in India aligned with new labour codes.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nShift Timing: 06:00 AM to 03:00 PM IST\nEducation Qualification:\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.\n\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nCustomer-focused with the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.\nContinuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to process optimisation.\n\nStrong vendor management and stakeholder relationship skills\n\nWhat Cencora offers\nBenefit offerings outside the US may vary by country and will be aligned to local market practice.
