This is an excellent opportunity for a people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and is passionate about driving performance, safety, and operational excellence.\nYou'll be responsible for managing a team of approximately 40 colleagues, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately for next-day delivery while maintaining the highest standards of service, productivity and compliance.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and motivate a team of around 40 warehouse colleagues\nManage the day-to-day Pick & Pack operation for next-day customer deliveries\nDrive productivity, quality, and service performance against KPIs\nEnsure warehouse operations are conducted safely and in line with company procedures\nOversee stock control and warehouse management processes\nConduct team briefings and maintain strong colleague engagement\nManage attendance, timekeeping and performance issues effectively\nComplete 1-2-1s, performance reviews and development conversations\nManage absence cases and return-to-work discussions in line with company policy\nWork collaboratively with internal stakeholders to achieve operational objectives\nIdentify process improvements and implement operational best practice\nSupport and champion a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement\n.\nAbout You\nWe're looking for a confident people manager with experience leading warehouse teams and delivering operational results.\nEssential Skills & Experience\nPrevious experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution management role\nStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams\nExperience managing performance, productivity and attendance\nWorking knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)\nGood understanding of warehouse operations, stock control and inventory management\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nStrong organisational and time management abilities\nCompetent IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel\nExperience working within a safety-focused environment\nAbility to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels\nDesirable\nKnowledge of pharmaceutical or healthcare distribution environments\nSupply Chain or Logistics qualifications\nContinuous improvement experience\nUnderstanding of GDP (Good Distribution Practice) requirements\nWhat You'll Bring\nA proactive and hands-on management style\nThe ability to engage, coach and develop colleagues\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills\nA customer-focused approach\nExperience analysing performance data and implementing improvements\nA commitment to maintaining high operational and safety standards\nWhy Join Alliance Healthcare?\nAt Cencora, our team members are at the heart of everything we do.
