Apply today!\nJob Details\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager to join Alliance Healthcare in Newcastle. This is a key leadership role responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant running of inbound and outbound warehouse operations within the Service Centre.\nYou will lead operational performance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure high standards of customer service, regulatory compliance, health and safety, and financial control. Working closely with the Service Centre General Manager, you will play an important role in shaping site culture, developing high-performing teams, and supporting the future growth of the operation.\nCompetitive salary plus benefits including car allowance, company bonus, and pension scheme with the company doubling contributions up to a percentage.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the day-to-day operation of inbound and outbound warehouse functions to ensure service, safety and compliance standards are achieved.\nDrive a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement, productivity and customer satisfaction.\nManage labour and overhead costs in line with agreed budgets and operational targets.\nEnsure compliance with all relevant Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements, standard operating procedures and regulatory obligations.\nOversee the correct receipt, storage and handling of products, including temperature monitoring, stock rotation, returns and recalled products.\nEnsure warehouse areas are maintained to required operational, housekeeping and pest control standards.\nMonitor key performance indicators, audits and operational performance, taking action where improvements are required.\nProvide strong leadership, coaching and motivation to direct reports and wider teams through regular communication and clear objective setting.\nRecruit, develop and support managers and colleagues, working in partnership with HR to build capability and succession plans.\nBuild strong working relationships across the site and with internal and external stakeholders.\nDeputise for the Service Centre General Manager when required.\nParticipate in the on-call rota for emergency orders and weekend working rota as needed.\n.\nSkills and Experience Required\nProven experience leading and developing teams in a large, complex, fast-paced warehouse or logistics operation.\nStrong track record of improving warehouse performance, stabilising operations and delivering operational projects.\nExperience working in a highly regulated environment with a strong understanding of compliance and standard operating procedures.\nDemonstrable ability to manage budgets, control costs and deliver against financial targets.\nStrong leadership capability with the ability to engage, motivate and develop teams.\nExperience building collaborative and effective relationships across departments and with key stakeholders.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and make sound operational decisions in a demanding environment.\nStrong communication, planning and organisational skills.\nCommitment to high standards of customer service, safety and operational excellence.\nExperience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, logistics or distribution environments would be advantageous.\nWhat Cencora offers\nBenefit offerings outside the US may vary by country and will be aligned to local market practice.
