Working cross-functionally, the Social Media Manager ensures consistent brand voice, timely execution, and continuous innovation in a fast-paced digital environment.\nWhat you'll do here:\nDevelop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with brand and marketing goals\nAssess and evaluate social media calendars across business units to determine best-fit content for master brand social channels\nAssist in development and maintenance of master-brand social content calendar\nPlan, create, and publish engaging content across platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok)\nHandle day-to-day social media operations, including content calendars and posting schedules\nMonitor social channels, respond to comments/messages, and foster meaningful audience engagement\nAnalyze performance metrics and optimize campaigns to improve reach, engagement, and conversion\nCollaborate with creative teams, copywriters, and marketing stakeholders to produce high-quality content\nPartner with internal teams to amplify campaigns, events, and key initiatives\nStay current on social trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to keep content fresh and relevant\nHandle paid social campaigns in partnership with media teams, including targeting and performance tracking\nEnsure brand consistency across all social media channels\nTrack competitor activity and identify opportunities for differentiation\nHandle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment\nSkills you will need here:\nBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)\nMinimum of 5 years of experience leading social media for a brand, preferably in B2B or corporate environment, bonus points for familiarity with the education sphere.\nConfirmed experience developing and implementing social media strategies and campaigns\nStrong understanding of platform algorithms, trends, and standards\nExperience with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, native insights)\nBasic knowledge of paid social media advertising and campaign optimization\nExcellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and recommend improvements\nExceptional organization, time management, and multitasking abilities\nStrong collaboration and communication skills\nCengage is committed to working with broad talent pools to attract and hire strong and most qualified individuals. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location.
