The role primarily centers on our ExamReady solution.\nThis role involves contacting prospective clients through outbound calls and emails. You will present Milady solutions and set up qualified demonstrations with the sales team.\nThis is a great opportunity for someone who is comfortable on the phone, enjoys connecting with people, and is motivated by achieving measurable goals.\nWhat You'll Do\nCarry out proactive outbound communication with potential customers through phone and email.\nConnect with beauty and wellness education customers and present the benefits of Milady's ExamReady solution.\nIdentify customer interest and needs and generate qualified opportunities for the sales team.\nClearly convey the benefits of connecting with a Milady sales representative and joining an ExamReady demonstration.\nSchedule qualified demo appointments for assigned sales representatives.\nFollow up with customers as appropriate to help drive strong appointment attendance.\nMaintain accurate records of customer outreach, conversations, and scheduled appointments.\nPartner closely with sales representatives to ensure a smooth handoff and positive customer experience.\nMeet established weekly activity and appointment goals.\nHow Success Will Be Measured\nSuccess in this role goes beyond just arranging meetings. We seek meaningful customer interaction that leads to customers participating in their planned demonstrations.\nKey performance measures will include:\nOutbound prospecting activity\nScheduled qualified appointments\nCustomer attendance at scheduled appointments\nConsistent achievement of weekly appointment goals\nThe goal for this position is to schedule a set number of qualified appointments per week and assist up to five sales representatives.\nWhat We're Looking For\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nConfidence and integrity when speaking with customers by phone.\nAbility to quickly build rapport and communicate value.\nComfortable conducting a high volume of outbound customer outreach.\nGoal-oriented and motivated by measurable results.\nStrong organizational and follow-up skills.\nAbility to manage multiple customer conversations and priorities.\nPositive, persistent, and comfortable hearing \"no\" while continuing to pursue opportunities.\nExperience in sales, customer service, business development, appointment setting, or lead generation is preferred but not required.\nInterest in the beauty, wellness, or education industries is a plus.\nPosition Details\nEmployment type: Temporary, direct Cengage employee\nCompensation: $20-23 per hour\nIncentive opportunity: $10 for every qualified appointment that leads to the customer participating in the scheduled demonstration\nIncentives are calculated and paid monthly.\nAppointments where the customer does not attend are not eligible for the incentive.\nAbout the Opportunity\nThis role offers a chance to gain hands-on experience in business development and sales while collaborating with a well-known brand serving the beauty and wellness education industry. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location.
