As part of the Integrated Planning Team, this role supports maintenance planning and execution by maintaining critical data in alignment with established Maintenance & Reliability (M&R) standards, enabling effective work management and operational performance.\nWork Environment:\n\nThis position is based out of the Edson, AB office and requires the successful candidate to reside in the area\n\nWhat you’ll do:\n\nDemonstrate a commitment to Cenovus’s policies, values, regulatory requirements and Operational Integrity Management System (COIMS), fostering a positive safety culture through leadership, coaching and mentoring of junior employees and Conventional Data Technicians.\nEnsure Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) considerations are prioritized in all activities within the area of responsibility.\nSupport Cenovus’s Triple Zero objectives by completing mandatory training, observing and reporting HSE behaviours, intervening when necessary, and incorporating the Life Saving Rules into daily activities.\nComply with corporate safety standards, including Life Saving Rules and Safe Operating Practices, while promoting a strong safety culture among colleagues and service providers.\nEnsure maintenance task lists consistently incorporate approved procedures, Life Saving Rules, Safe Operating Practices and other relevant information to support safe work execution.\nActively participate in area safety meetings and other HSE initiatives to support continuous improvement.\nTake accountability for personal safety and contribute to the safety and well-being of colleagues, contractors and others working within the area of responsibility.\n\nWho you are:\nOur ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:\n\nLegally authorized to work in Canada\nMinimum of 2+ years of relevant industry experience.\nStrong commitment to safety and compliance with established safety standards.\nEffective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.\nExperience using database and spreadsheet applications.\nWorking knowledge of Maintenance & Reliability (M&R) strategies and practices.\nDemonstrated proficiency in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and Materials Management (MM) modules, or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).\nRelevant post-secondary education or certifications in Business Administration, Database Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.\n\nWe acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.\n\nNote: The application deadline for this position is 11:59 PM MT November 11, 2026.\n\nCenovus was ranked one of Canada’s Best Employers in 2025.
