This role is responsible for conducting due diligence, managing KYC processes, and assessing compliance risks to ensure adherence to internal policies and international regulatory standards. Working closely with trading desks and support functions, the analyst plays a key role in safeguarding the organization against financial crime and reputational risks, while contributing to the development of a strong compliance culture.\nThe Compliance Analyst role requires a background in compliance, ideally with experience in commodity trading-particularly in the oil & gas sectors-or in the banking industry.\nMain Responsibilities\nConduct counterparty KYC processes: including thorough due diligence, screenings and reputational searches.\nReview KYC documentation and screenings to ensure compliance with Group standards and policies and verify accuracy and legitimacy of the counterparty.\nMaintain counterparty data throughout commercial relationship lifecycle, ensuring system data accuracy.\nInvestigate low, medium, and high-risk counterparties against money-laundering, bribery, fraud, sanctions and suspicious activity.\nPerform risk assessments on all new and existing counterparties, including PEPs and high-risk entities.\nReview and clear WCO ongoing monitoring alerts daily, escalating to management as needed.\nReview on a risk-based approach counterparties active in CMS with a focus on identifying key changes since onboarding, such as status, controllers, and adverse media.\nEscalate high priority and critical reputational risk issues to management.\nCommunicate effectively with Centalion stakeholders, including trading desks and support functions, to ensure accurate and prioritized due diligence checks.\nCommunicate effectively with external counterparties to ensure timely receipt of KYC documentation.\nAssisting with due diligence efforts, including coordinating with Front Office, Legal, Credit, Operations, and other departments.\nSupport the Regional Head of ABC Compliance, Americas with various responsibilities as needed.\nEducation\nUndergraduate degree from an accredited university.\nCompliance, CAMS, CFCS, or similar certifications are a plus.\nExperience\nExperience of 3-5 years compliance experience preferably in the commodity trading business, with an oil major, or within the financial services / banking industry. Alternatively, experience conducting complex due diligence reviews or investigation in the banking sector, legal sector, on behalf of a regulator, or with due diligence services providers.\n Skills\nDemonstrable knowledge of international ABC and AML laws and compliance best practices.\nTeam player willing to support others in achieving our common goals.\nExperience working with remote teams.\nExperience working in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment.\nExcellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
