Sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available for this opportunity, including employment-based visa types H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, or CPT.\nLeads and directs multiple teams consisting of Senior Application Development Engineers responsible with large-scale complex Application Development projects / programs\nProvides technical guidance to engineering teams and implements best practice development methods\nParticipates in technical architecture meetings with the team and providers feedback to the team\nManages a large portfolio of new development, enhancements, maintenance projects to successful completion navigating quality, schedule, competing priorities and cost management challenges\nSupports established organizational objectives by developing goals and strategies for the engineering teams\nDefines processes to identify and evaluate risks and participates in mitigation and control activities\nMaintains good relationships with Application and Infrastructure Management operational groups\nPartners with Security and SRE teams, makes sure all security and change management policies are followed.\nLeads the design and development of proof of concept and prototype application environments\nMaintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintains a safe and secure work environment; develops personal growth opportunities for the team members\nEstablishes operational objectives and delegates tasks to team Developers to help ensure the stable operation of application development activities\nProvides expert knowledge to develop staff capabilities to strengthen understanding of application development industry, business issues and best practices; evaluate implications to IT\nDevelops and communicates departmental objectives; inspire and motivate team members to achieve results\nHolds teams accountable to meet functional, quality, and time line objectives\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nComplies with all policies and standards\nEducation/Experience:\nRequires a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of related experience, including prior management experience.\nOr equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.\nTechnical Skills:\nOne or more of the following skills are desired:\nExperience with Application Development; Applications Architecture\nExperience with DevOps industry best practices\nKnowledge of Agile Software Development\nSoft Skills:\nAbility to lead/manage others\nCollaboration and team building skills\nEffectively coaches and delivers constructive feedback\nInstills commitment to organizational goals\nAbility to communicate and make recommendations to upper management\nEffective conflict management skills\nDevelops and delivers effective presentations\nDemonstrated negotiation skills\nAbility to analyze and interpret financial data in order to facilitate on projects initiatives and goals\nPay Range: $146,000.00 - $269,600.00 per yearAt Centene, we connect people to the care they need to live healthier lives - and the work you do here makes that impact real every day.
