You'll shape cloud standards, drive innovation in automation and security, and partner across engineering, risk, and architecture teams to deliver resilient, high-performing cloud services.\nThis is a remote position within the United States. Sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available for this opportunity, including employment-based visa types H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, or CPT.\nLeads a team for the cloud services unit responsible for managing the cloud platform\nPartners closely with cloud & enterprise architecture teams to develop and enforce cloud standards, best practices, and roadmap capabilities\nDevelops deep understanding in technical domain and demonstrates thought leadership in emerging areas\nWorks with internal risk and information security teams to ensure that appropriate controls and security rigor are in place for cloud platforms\nPartners closely with application development teams to provide new platform service offerings to enable & support their success\nActs as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for planning & executing on cloud platform architecture enhancements including network, security, and automation\nActs as the owner for the reliability, availability, and performance of core cloud platform functions\nManages department staff including hiring, performance management and career development to ensure alignment with defined goals\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nComplies with all policies and standards\nEducation/Experience:\nRequires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience.Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.\n2+ years experience in setting up cloud specific infrastructure with public cloud providers like Azure, AWS and/or Google preferred.\nTechnical Skills:\nOne or more of the following skills are desired:\nKnowledge of common infrastructure automation languages such as Shell Scripting, Python, PowerShell, etc.\nExperience with networking, security concepts, troubleshooting and with observability systems (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch)\nKnowledge of serverless technologies such as Lambda, Google Functions or Azure functions, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing\nExperience working inside of a container ecosystem such as Kubernetes and Docker\nExperience addressing technical and business issues\nSoft Skills:\nAbility to lead/manage others\nCollaboration and team building skills\nEffectively coaches and delivers constructive feedback\nInstills commitment to organizational goals\nAbility to communicate and make recommendations to upper management\nEffective conflict management skills\nDevelops and delivers effective presentations\nDemonstrated negotiation skills\nLicense/Certification:\nCloud certification with public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google required\nPay Range: $102,900.00 - $190,500.00 per yearAt Centene, we connect people to the care they need to live healthier lives - and the work you do here makes that impact real every day.
