This role provides leadership, direction, and hands-on support to matrixed teams to ensure the successful completion of complex integration initiatives. The Program Manager IV is also responsible for creating and presenting executive level communications to provide program updates and facilitate cross functional executive level discussion.\nKey Details: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available for this opportunity, including employment-based visa types H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J -1, OPT, or CPT\nLead large scale, cross functional projects for implementation or process improvement including working with organizational leaders for restructuring and realignment of team members. Oversee all aspects of program planning, management, and execution (scope, schedule, and budget). Create comprehensive timelines and ensure the project team creates and maintains appropriate deliverables while following project management standards.\nDrive large scale projects by coordinating the work of one or more project managers/business analysts who are managing the individual workgroups (Operations, Finance, Benefit Operations, etc.) involved in the project.\nCreate meaningful dashboards for executive level update and project status. Work with teams to create reports for ongoing analytics post project implementation.\nCreate and deliver best practice and training information to indirect reports (when applicable), peers, and other employees. Work with the training team to create/review training materials.\nPrepare and deliver documents for Program Steering Committees to the Executive team. Work with functional business teams’ leaders to assess program risks and issue escalate as needed to the leadership level.\nProactively manage areas such as risk, budget/forecast, dependencies, etc. Prepare strategic analysis of potential business and/or operational opportunities as needed.\nServe as the first escalation point for project issues and risks. Work directly with the project teams to resolve issues and create risk mitigation plans. Escalate well-formulated issues and risks to leadership. Effectively communicate business and technology issues and solutions.\nSupplemental Responsibilities and Core Work Products:\nThe Program Manager IV personally develops and manages the program structure and artifacts required to:\nBuild and execute the integrated portfolio roadmap, including priorities, sequencing, scope, delivery plans, milestones, commitments, and outcome measures. \nTranslate strategy and approved future-state designs into programs, workstreams, deliverables, implementation plans, readiness requirements, and operational-transition criteria. \nEstablish work-product expectations, owners, contributors, dependencies, due dates, and acceptance criteria with accountable business and functional leaders. \nMaintain integrated tracking of milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, decisions, and commitments. \nIntegrate partner contributions and drive execution through influence, governance, documented commitments, decision management, and escalation. \nDevelop governance structures, executive updates, and decision and escalation briefs that communicate progress, program health, risks, dependencies, recommendations, and actions needed. \nDevelop business cases, funding requests, resource and capability requirements, and supporting QAI, AOP, Planview, and other approved portfolio documentation with Finance and accountable partners. \nPartner with the aligned Senior Process Improvement Manager to translate approved process designs into implementation plans, readiness criteria, adoption activities, controls, and outcome measures. \nLead implementation readiness, adoption, warranty, stabilization, outcome tracking, transition to operational ownership, and program closeout. \nEducation/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required. Master’s degree preferred. 8+ years of Program or Project Management experience required. Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross-functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work, and managing the performance of staff required. Proficiency in MS Office applications and project management tools required. Healthcare experience and/or managed care experience preferred.\nLicense/Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) preferred\nSupplemental Preferred Qualifications (in addition to the standard Education/Experience requirements above)\n6+ years of program or project management experience.\nExperience leading complex healthcare transformation across functions, markets, products, or platforms.\nProven ability to personally build and execute portfolio roadmaps, program plans, governance, business cases, and implementation strategies.\nAbility to turn evolving strategy into work products, milestones, owners, dependencies, decisions, and measurable outcomes.\nHands-on individual contributor who leads through influence in a complex, matrixed organization.\nStrong executive communication, decision facilitation, risk management, escalation, and stakeholder skills.\nWorking knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Duals, D-SNP, Care Management, integrated care, or health-plan operations; direct Duals or D-SNP experience strongly preferred.\nPay Range: $87,700.00 - $157,800.00 per yearAt Centene, we connect people to the care they need to live healthier lives - and the work you do here makes that impact real every day.
