Sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available for this opportunity, including employment-based visa types H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J -1, OPT, or CPT.\nDesigns, develops, tests, and maintains automation, integrations, and self-service tools that reduce manual work for SDT technology teams (firewalls, proxies, ZTNA, email security, DLP, EDR, NDR, DDoS, and WAF). \nBuilds AI-enabled capabilities for the AI Ops initiative, including models and agents that monitor security tool health metrics, adjust thresholds, identify trends that may lead to incidents, assist engineers with troubleshooting, and provide natural-language access to health data. \nDeploys, operates, and troubleshoots containerized workloads in the team’s Kubernetes environment, including shared observability and data collection services. \nApplies secure development practices throughout the secure software development life cycle (SSDLC), including threat modeling, secure code review, authentication and authorization, secrets management, logging, and vulnerability remediation. \nHelps define and promote CI/CD, source control, testing, and automation standards for SDT. \nDocuments solutions, creates runbooks, shares knowledge with other engineers, and supports the services the team builds in production. \nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nComplies with all policies and standards.\nEducation/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and Requires 4 - 6 years of related experience.\nOr equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.\nTechnical Skills:\nHands-on software development experience building production automation, APIs, and integrations, with strong Python skills. \nPractical experience developing AI/ML or LLM-based solutions (e.g., agents, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, anomaly detection, or model evaluation). \nHands-on experience deploying, operating, and troubleshooting workloads on Kubernetes. \nExperience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure or configuration as code. \nExperience in a security, SRE, or DevSecOps environment preferred.\nCISSP is a bonus but not required.\nSoft Skills:\nIntermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty.\nIntermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.\nIntermediate - Ability to work independently.\nIntermediate - Demonstrated analytical skills.\nIntermediate - Demonstrated project management skills.\nIntermediate - Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.\nIntermediate - Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision making skills.\nPay Range: $87,000.00 - $161,300.00 per yearAt Centene, we connect people to the care they need to live healthier lives - and the work you do here makes that impact real every day.
