This role supports member wellness by delivering high-quality personal training sessions, maintaining a safe fitness environment, and delivering excellent customer service. The Personal Trainer follows established policies and professional standards to promote client satisfaction, retention, and results.\nEssential Duties\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.\nConducts safe, effective, and goal-oriented personal training sessions for clients of varying fitness levels\nProvides exercise instruction, demonstrations, and motivation using proper technique and professional judgment\nEnsures client safety at all times within strength training and cardiovascular areas\nConducts client consultations, fitness assessments, and program design using approved methods and equipment\nMaintains accurate client documentation, scheduling, and session records using designated software or systems\nProvides quality customer service to all clients and prospective clients in a professional and inclusive manner\nCommunicates effectively with supervisors regarding scheduling, client needs, and operational concerns\nEnforces personal training program policies, procedures, and professional standards\nEnforces facility rules and safety procedures and assists during emergencies as needed\nAttends required personal training and departmental staff meetings\nStays current with applicable fitness trends, standards, and safety practices\nPerforms other related duties as assigned\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nCurrent CPR/AED and First Aid certifications\nCurrent nationally recognized personal training certification (NCCA-accredited), such as ACE, NASM, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent\nKnowledge of standard practices in personal training and recreational fitness\nAbility to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and supervisors\nAbility to work independently and follow established procedures\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience working in a recreation, collegiate, or community fitness setting\nDemonstrated proficiency with fitness assessments and exercise prescription\nExperience working with diverse populations and varying fitness levels\nCompensation will be determined based on years of experience or level of certification.\nWork Environment and Physical Demands\nWork Environment\nOffice environment/fitness center environment\nModerate to loud noise\nOccasional evening or weekend work \nPhysical Demands\nLifting heavy equipment\nStanding or walking for at least 50% of the work day\nOccasional bending, stooping\nHearing and talking\nWork Schedule\nPart-time schedule with hours varying based on client demand and facility needs.
