The Senior Data Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.Key Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes supporting enterprise data and analytics needs.\nBuild and optimize data models, curated datasets, and data products for reporting, operational analytics, and advanced analytical use cases.\nPartner with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.\nEstablish and promote best practices for data quality, testing, monitoring, documentation, lineage, and governance.\nTroubleshoot and resolve production data issues while ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability of data platforms.\nContribute to data platform modernization initiatives, including cloud-based architectures and engineering automation.\nParticipate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture planning.\nMentor and support other engineers while helping drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement initiatives\nUse your skills to make an impact\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.\n5+ years of progressive experience in Data Engineering.\nAdvanced proficiency in SQL for data modeling, query optimization, and large-scale data processing.\nStrong experience with Python for data engineering, automation, and pipeline development.\nExperience designing and maintaining enterprise-scale ETL/ELT solutions.\nStrong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling concepts.\nExperience working with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures.\nExperience with CI/CD, source control, automated testing, and engineering best practices.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\nDatabricks\nSnowflake\ndbt (Data Build Tool)\nHealthcare, payer, claims, membership, or population health data experience.\nExperience implementing data governance and data quality frameworks.\nExperience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives.\nWork at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
