We're on a mission to redefine the customer experience, and we need a passionate Junior Technical Business Analyst to join our Staff Augmentation team in Darwin.

The Junior Technical Business Analyst supports the delivery of ICT projects by working with business and technical stakeholders to gather, analyse and document requirements, processes and system information. The role provides business analysis and project support across system migration, integration, configuration and testing activities, while working closely with senior project team members to ensure solutions meet business needs and project objectives.

The role will contribute to a major digital transformation program within the Northern Territory Department of Education, supporting the implementation of a Student Centric Management Solution and the consolidation of data and reporting across legacy systems.

This is a 12 month contract position.

Requirements

What you'll do:

  • Support the delivery of ICT projects by gathering, documenting and analysing business and technical requirements.
  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, identify impacts and support agreed solutions.
  • Develop and maintain business analysis artefacts including process maps, data mapping notes, reporting requirements and configuration documentation.
  • Support system migration, integration and configuration activities.
  • Assist with test planning, configuration and testing activities, including preparing test evidence and documenting scenarios and outcomes.
  • Maintain action, issue, risk and dependency registers and follow up outstanding items through to resolution.
  • Identify and escalate project issues, risks and dependencies to senior project team members as required.
  • Support project teams with accurate documentation, reporting and coordination activities.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of the NT Department of Education's Student Centric Management Solution and associated data consolidation initiatives.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in a business analysis, technical business analysis or ICT project environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements.
  • Experience engaging with business and technical stakeholders and supporting stakeholder communication.
  • Ability to develop process maps, data mapping documentation, reporting requirements and other business analysis artefacts.
  • Experience supporting system migration, integration, configuration and testing activities.
  • Understanding of ICT systems, business processes and the relationship between business requirements and technical solutions.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to track actions, risks, issues and dependencies through to completion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to accurately document and manage information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team and under the guidance of senior project team members.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and contribute to project delivery within agreed timeframes.
  • Relevant qualifications in business analysis, ICT or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous experience within government, education or large-scale digital transformation projects is desirable.
  • Experience working with data consolidation, legacy systems, system integration or enterprise ICT environments is desirable.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Darwin, NT for the duration of the 12-month contract.
  • Must be able to meet the required National Police Clearance and Working with Children/OCHRE requirements.
