This role requires strong technical and analytical skills, proficiency and experience in computer-aided design (CAD) software and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with design specifications and standards.\nPosition Responsibilities/Duties:\n1. Design and Modelling:\nCreate detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models of mechanical and electrical components, assemblies, nameplate details, etc. using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidEdge, etc.) based on engineering specifications and requirements.\nConvert sketches, concepts, and preliminary designs into engineering drawings as required.\nSupport engineering personnel to update part and assembly drawings for manufacture based on design review changes, design improvement initiatives and customer feedback.\n2. Documentation and Standards Compliance:\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), part lists, finishing details and assembly instructions, as required.\nPrepare manufacturing packages (metal fab, assembly, finishing details, etc.) for manufacturing release to internal and external vendors.\nPerform quality checks on drawings and models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design specifications.\nEnsure that all drawings and models meet company standards and follow GD&T standards.\n3. Collaboration and Coordination:\nWork closely with engineers and other team members to understand design requirements to ensure accurate execution of designs.\nAssist in resolving design-related issues that arise during production.\nParticipate in process improvement initiatives to enhance drafting efficiency and output quality.\nRequirements\nEducation Requirements:\n· Associate degree or diploma in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred but not required.\nRequirements:\n· 1-3 years of experience in a drafting role, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment or 2 to 5 years hands-on manufacturing experience of engineered products.\n· Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).\n· Familiarity with mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.\n· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.\n· Basic understanding of mechanical fabrication and related systems (preferred).\n· Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced engineering environment.\nBenefits\nMedical, Dental, Life, 401k, Vacation Pay\nCompetitive Salary with Annual Incentive Bonus eligibility\nPlease note & Review the following: This job is considered safety-sensitive because impairment by drugs or alcohol may constitute a threat to health or safety, and/or a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death.\nCentral Moloney is a tobacco-free facility.
