Holds other team members accountable for following all safety procedures, environmental control, process control and quality control practices.\nFollows all setup procedures and work instructions as documented in the Operations System.\nReports all machinery issues to Maintenance promptly.\nCleans and resets work area at the end of each shift, including but not limited to sweeping the floor, placing items in the proper storage area, stacking pallets, restocking packaging, and dumping trash.\nAccurately updates all records and visual tracking, whether written or electronic.\nCross-trains as directed and is willing to work at any production position in the plant, on a as needed basis.\nCompletes work as directed by plant management.\nPerforms different levels of inspection including dimensional checks and visual weld inspection of product released by welders [the quality of product is responsibility of the welder(s) that completed the work, part of welder(s) responsibilities is to inspect their own work, including the welds they lay down, the main purpose of inspection by the Quality Control Inspector is to evaluate of the effectiveness of the work performed by welders].\nUtilizes a variety of gauges for dimensional checks and visual weld inspection, including tapes, squares, v-wac, bridge cam and fillet weld gauges.\nPerforms ultrasonic inspection as required per company standards or as directed by plant management.\nPerforms process audits, finish-goods audits and load audits as per company standards and as directed by plant management.\nProvides technical support to plant personnel in regards of quality of raw materials, parts and components, consumables, welding, interpretation of shop drawing and fabrication standards.\nLift or move materials and finished products, manually or with hoists or cranes.\nDuties, responsibilities, and activities are not limited to the list above and may change at any time with or without notice.\nKey Measures of Success:\nDemonstrates excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.\nCustomer and detailed oriented.\nExhibits a continuous improvement mindset with ability to verbalize ideas for process and workflow improvements.\nDesire for personal and professional growth by obtaining new skills and certifications proper of the trade.\nAbility to use/read common measuring tools in the weld inspection trade such as tape measures, squares, protractors, fillet weld gauges, v-wac gauges, cam-bridge gauges, ultrasonic testing equipment, etc. perform basic mathematical calculations, and use a calculator.\nAbility to interpret welding symbols.\nAbility to learn production operations.\nConsistently exhibits and displays the company’s values of “Own It. While performing the core function of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, walk, hear, stand for long periods of time, lift/push/pull items up to 55 lbs. This position is primarily working around machinery with moving parts, working around moving objects or vehicles. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach/pull/push/grab with hands and arms, kneel, and crouch, twist, and bend.
