This role serves as a technical resource to identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues through data analysis, root cause investigation, and implementation of effective corrective actions.\nThe Quality Engineer works closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Production, Suppliers, and Customers to ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards and drive improvements in product quality, process performance, and customer satisfaction. \nKey Responsibilities \nSupport production operations by investigating quality concerns, analyzing defects, and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions. \nLead and support customer complaint investigations, including root cause analysis, corrective action development, and communication of findings. \nUtilize structured problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone analysis, and other quality tools to identify and eliminate recurring issues. \nAnalyze quality data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and support data-driven decision making. \nDevelop reports, charts, graphs, and presentations using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools to communicate quality performance and improvement opportunities. \nSupport the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with AS9100 requirements, procedures, and customer expectations. \nParticipate in internal audits and support external customer and certification audits as needed. \nSupport supplier quality initiatives, including supplier performance monitoring, supplier corrective actions, and supplier improvement activities. \nPartner with Purchasing and suppliers to address quality concerns and ensure purchased materials meet company and customer requirements. \nConduct or support supplier audits and evaluations as required. \nCollaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations teams to improve processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall product quality. \nSupport continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, process evaluation, and implementation of quality improvements. \nAssist with inspection methods, quality documentation, and process improvements as needed. \nMaintain accurate quality records and documentation in accordance with company procedures. \nRequired Qualifications \nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered. \nExperience working in an AS9100-certified manufacturing environment. \nExperience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and structured problem-solving methodologies. \nExperience supporting supplier quality activities, including supplier corrective actions and audits. \nStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and communicate quality data. \nAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, data analysis, and creation of charts and reports. \nAbility to interpret technical documentation, quality requirements, and manufacturing processes. \nStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments, suppliers, and customers. \nPreferred Qualifications \nExperience in an ISO 13485 regulated manufacturing environment. \nAS9100 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification. \nSix Sigma training or certification. \nExperience with statistical analysis, SPC, process capability studies, or other quality engineering tools. \nExperience in cable, wire, or precision manufacturing environments. \nExperience with ERP systems and electronic quality management systems. \nPhysical / Work Environment \nWork is performed primarily in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to production equipment, noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures. \nFrequent interaction with production areas and manufacturing personnel is required. \nAbility to spend time on the production floor supporting quality investigations and process improvements. \nOccasional travel may be required for supplier visits, customer meetings, audits, training, or company meetings. \nFlexibility to work additional hours as needed to support production requirements and quality initiatives. \nAbility to work with computers, inspection equipment, and measurement tools. \nRequired to wear appropriate personal protective
