As a Quality Engineer, you will help drive quality throughout the entire software life cycle through collaboration with product and development teams, development of test cases and automation scripts, and analysis of the system to consistently deliver quality software to our customers. You will be able to utilize your skills in testing and automation development to become a key factor in the delivery of high-quality software. \nKey Accountabilities: \nEnhance the test case library to increase test case coverage. \nCreate test cases for verification and validation of web, mobile, API and all system integrations. \nPerform manual acceptance testing on an Agile team, investigating issues and reporting bugs/defects. \nIncrease automated test coverage with reusable and deterministic automation scripts. \nDevelop automated scripts within expected timeboxes to ensure all work that may impact the system has coverage. \nMaintain the test automation library for high reliability during execution. \nDevelop test plans that ensure full test coverage of changes in the application under test to support releases . \nPromote and encourage collaboration and quality related activities with the Product and Engineering teams. \nDevelop intelligent and efficient testing strategies to dramatically increase the ratio of internally found defects versus customer reported defects. \nEnsure quality releases of software with no production downs and/or critical impediments to users. \nDesired Skills and Experience: \n5 to 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance working in an Agile Engineering environment. \n5 to 7 years of experience testing web and mobile applications in a SaaS organization. \nEffective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with Product, Engineering and DevOps. \nExperience writing test cases (functional and non-functional) and management of a test case library. \nExperience with scripting/programming languages to develop test automation scenarios for web and/or mobile applications, and API services. \nHigh level competency in programming/scripting languages and concepts. \nDeep understanding of UI Test Automation with best practices and patterns for building reliable and scalable automation. \nKnowledge of web application technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), REST API, and mobile platforms (iOS and Android). \nExperience parsing and verifying responses/payloads from API interfaces. \nExperience using API development/automation tools such as Postman. \nAbility to understand relational data in a database and query the database \nExperience formulating testing strategies for software releases. \nSolid understanding of utilizing different types of testing and best practices for creating testing suites targeting various phases of the development life cycle. \nSolid understanding of agile testing best practices and processes. \nSolid understanding of the CI/CD pipeline and integrating test automation to support stages of the pipeline. \nBase Salary Range\n$115,000—$140,000 USD\nBacked by Roper Technologies, Inc.
