As a Business Development Representative (BDR) you'll focus on generating leads, building relationships, managing a pipeline of opportunities and closing sales. The primary goal of a BDR is to drive revenue growth and expand Centrapay's merchant customer base - acceptance across Payap, pay by bank, running through merchants existing EFTPOS terminal or through Nomad, which needs no hardware at all. Putting us on the counter of every business that transacts.\nWhat You'll Do\nHandle inbound sales inquiries and manage a sales pipeline through to close\nQualify leads, identify merchant needs, and provide solutions aligned with Centrapay's offerings\nConvert leads into customers\nAssist with pre-sales onboarding and post-sales support\nMaintain and update accurate customer and sales data\nVisit merchants in person, you'll be in the field regularly rather than desk-based\nBuild sector knowledge, mapping the market and generating opportunities rather than waiting for them\nWork with the Head of Merchant Sales to develop sector-specific approaches \nEnsure merchant staff are confident taking a Centrapay QR payment\nRequirements\nWho we're looking for\n1 - 3 years of experience in sales / business development with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets\nComfortable with both inbound enquiry handling and proactive outbound activity\nWilling and able to work in the field, including regular in-person merchant visits\nSolid understanding of the sales process and customer relationship management\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build customer rapport\nExcellent problem-solving and negotiation skills and a customer focussed mindset\nSelf-motivated, goal orientated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment\nA solid customer-centric approach, and a passion for Sales\nYou'll be based in Auckland with a full New Zealand driving licence \nBonus points for experience selling into a specific sector, or exposure to payments, EFTPOS, POS, hospitality or retail.\nWhy Join Us?\nBe part of a fast-growing fintech shaping the future of payments\nWork with a team that values innovation, collaboration and ambition \nCompetitive compensation, growth opportunities, and a chance to make a real impact \nBenefits\nWe look after our people at Centrapay - a key focus is our culture and ensuring we create a positive and healthy work environment.
