This individual must be a self-starter and team player who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited about joining a team on a journey to accelerate transformation across Centric Brands\nThe Corporate Accounting Manager will be detail oriented and assist in preparing month end close, balance sheet account reconciliations and overseeing the general ledger accounting daily operations.\nResponsibilities include but not limited to:\nAssist with month end close preparation to ensure timeliness and accuracy of journal entries and deliverables.\nPrepare and review monthly journal entries including expense accruals, prepaids, deposits, capital expenditures, intercompany transactions, FX/CTA, debt interest, corporate and divisional cost allocations.\nPrepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations including proper supporting documentation, variance and flux analysis, and timely checklist completion.\nIdentify accountings areas for process improvements, streamlining and automation.\nAssist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, schedules and footnotes in accordance with GAAP.\nAssist and coordinate with internal and external audit requests, tax consultants, and other service providers with PBC request.\nPartner with FP&A in preparation of the monthly and quarterly forecasting for Depreciation & Amortization and ROU Assets & Liabilities\nWork cross functionally with various business partners (FPA, IT, Legal, AP, HR, Payroll, Tax, Treasury and IT) on processes, policies, key system improvements and initiatives.\nHelp manage and maintain lease portal (Lease Query) in compliance with lease accounting standards (ASC 842), facilities and related allocations, analysis, and rent loader/statement review and approval.\nProvide supervision and guidance to assigned staff with day-to-day operations, complex and technical accounting tasks and issues, as well as personal and professional growth.\nAd hoc projects as assigned\nOur Best Fit Candidate Would Have\nProven experience as Accounting Manager or other similar position\nBachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA preferred\nSolid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations\nStrong knowledge of Excel\nExperience with SAP, and Lease Query a plus\nFamiliarity with lease accounting under ASC 842\nMust show accountability, be a team player and operate with a sense of urgency.\nAbility to work with a high volume of transactions and strong attention to detail\nAbility to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information\nForward-looking thinker who can articulate the need for and implement process improvements\nAble to work independently and take initiative\nAble to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines\nAble to adapt to changing priorities\nIn return, we provide an industry-competitive salary, along with a comprehensive benefits plan (medical, dental, vision) that includes a matching 401(k), Summer Fridays, generous PTO, merchandise discounts, excellent career development opportunities, and a work environment that reflects our industry leadership.
