Performs required work safely and uniformly within operation guidelines & standards but does not necessarily have proven proficiency in specific skillset within department.\n\nJob Assignment\n\nCore Accountabilities\n\nShipping Clerk\n\nInterfaces with trucking personnel and schedules accurate release and delivery of pipe.\nEnsures proper documentation of orders with MTRs, CTRs, and tally sheets as needed. \n\nBundler\n\nGeneral Yardhand - helps bundle pipe, unload trucks, set boards, and general labor\n\nForklift Operator\n\nOperates large lifts and moves pipe accurately and safely throughout the yard. \nWith precision and without damaging materials or property, loads/unloads trucks, pipe racks, heat treat and threading entry and exit points.\n\nLead Yard Operator\n\nPerforms the role of the Bundler & Forklift Driver.\nAdditionally directs the work of other Bundlers and Forklift Operators to perform the logistical movements and tracking / tallying necessary for accuracy and optimized loading/unloading. \n\nYard Foreman\n\nDirectly supervises / manages Bundlers, Forklift Operators, and Leads and ensures their productivity and accuracy meets expectations. \nAs needed, can and does perform the role of these positions. \n\nOther: Temporarily assume the duties and responsibilities of other roles, as directed by management. All safety and operational parameters of the assumed role apply.\nProficiency & Productivity: Maintains a consistent high level of productivity and a consistent high level of accurate movements.\nQualifications and Essential Functions\nExperience Required:\nExperience in an industrial environment using related tools and equipment. Six (6)+ months of training & close supervision in position.\nFor foreman: Six (6)+ months of experience in supervisory role.\nEducation/Experience (REQUIRED):\nHigh School diploma or GED equivalent strongly preferred; Certification a plus.\nSkills/Abilities:\nAbility to work overtime in order to meet the needs of the operation. \nAcute visual ability to observe product nonconformance. Visual ability consisting of strong close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.\nPerform intense manual labor with long work hours. Ability to stand for a long period of time; bend, stoop, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, and move around work area.\nAbility to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with arms.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 55 lbs occasionally, and 20 lbs regularly.\nDemonstrates skill in operating equipment.\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nAbility to read a minimum of Jaeger 2 or equivalent type and size letter at a distance of not less than 12 inches on a standard Jaeger test chart.\nAbility to utilize basic computer skills, (word, excel, type, email, etc.)\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS:\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and mass; and interpret bar graphs.\nAptitude to calculate and use the following instruments - Scale in 1/8”, 1/16”, 1/32” and 1/64” increments - 12” to 72” long; Protractor Head, Diameter Tape - 100’s increments, Micrometers, Diameter Tape - 1/64” increments, 6” Vernier Caliper, 50’ Tapes, Ring Gauges, Squares, Levels, Line Levels, Various Tape Measures, Conversion Charts (Decimal to Fraction, Fraction to Decimal), Tri-Square, String Line, Feeler Gauges, Overhead Scale, Dial Indicators, Calipers\nCOMMUNICATION:\nAbility to effectively and efficiently communicate with employees via conversation or in writing.\nAbility to read and interpret product specifications such as work orders and travelers. \nAbility to effectively present information to management. \nAbility to effectively speak before groups and/or customers.\nAbility to speak, read, and write English for the purpose of product specification interpretation and training and safety materials comprehension.\nTRAVEL:\nNegligible\nENVIRONMENTAL:\nAbility to work most effectively in an industrial workshop field setting while also capable of managing tools, inventory, and equipment as part of the daily work activities and management.
