We make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.\nAbout your role:\nWe’re looking for a Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst to help shape and deliver high-quality data, reporting and MI solutions across the business.\nYou’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting and data needs, translating these into effective solutions using Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. You’ll own delivery from initial requirements through to testing and implementation, ensuring solutions are accurate, efficient and well governed.\nThis is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical data expertise with stakeholder engagement and problem-solving, while helping us modernise our reporting landscape and make better use of automation and AI.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nWorking with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear data and reporting requirements.\nDesigning and delivering MI, reporting and BI solutions using Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.\nDeveloping effective datasets, dashboards, KPIs and reusable data products that provide meaningful business insight.\nSupporting the migration and simplification of legacy reporting onto strategic data platforms.\nIdentifying opportunities to automate processes, improve reporting and remove unnecessary manual activity.\nManaging delivery through development, testing, release and operational handover.\nEnsuring strong data quality, governance, security and control throughout the reporting lifecycle.\nUsing AI-enabled tools responsibly to support analysis, documentation, testing and more efficient ways of working.\nProviding technical guidance and peer review to colleagues, helping to strengthen standards and share knowledge across the team.\nContributing to improvements in BI, data engineering and reporting practices across the function. \nWhat we’re looking for:\nExperience delivering BI, MI, analytics or data solutions within a data-focused environment.\nStrong SQL skills and practical experience with data and reporting technologies.\nExperience with Power BI and exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Python or PySpark.\nExperience gathering requirements and translating business needs into effective technical solutions.\nAn understanding of data modelling, quality, governance, security and controlled change.\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.\nExperience working across multiple projects and balancing different priorities and dependencies.\nA proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement and automation.\nAn interest in how AI and emerging technologies can improve analytics, reporting and ways of working.\nExperience of legacy MI or data environments such as Hadoop or SQL Server would also be beneficial, particularly where you’ve supported migration, simplification or decommissioning activity.\nWhy should you apply?\nWe’re not a perfect place - but we’re a people place.
