If the idea of working to create a sustainable energy future also moves you, we may very well be the right place for you.\nLocation: This role is based at our Park House office in London and requires on-site presence 3 days a week.\nAbout your role:\nWe're looking for an experienced Senior LNG Engineer to join our LNG Technology team.\nThis is a hands-on senior engineering role where you'll lead the design and delivery of complex platform enhancements, drive technical improvements and help modernise the technology supporting our LNG trading business. You'll play a key role in improving platform resilience, maintainability and operational excellence while influencing future architecture and engineering standards.\nAlongside delivering technical solutions, you'll provide senior-level support for complex production issues, mentor fellow engineers and work closely with business stakeholders to translate commercial requirements into scalable technology outcomes.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nLeading the design and delivery of complex platform enhancements and technology improvements.\n\nDriving engineering best practice across code quality, testing, supportability and platform resilience.\n\nOwning technical solutions from design through to deployment and production support.\n\nSupporting and resolving complex production incidents, carrying out root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes.\n\nCollaborating with Product, Business Analysis and Architecture teams to shape technical solutions and delivery approaches.\n\nContributing to platform strategy, technical debt reduction and future technology decisions.\n\nMentoring engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing and code reviews.\n\nHelping improve automation, observability, deployment processes and DevOps maturity.\n\nHere's what we’re looking for:\nEssential\nProven hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using C#/.NET.\n\nExpertise in designing and delivering APIs, integrations, distributed systems and cloud-native applications.\n\nA solid understanding of software architecture, system design, scalability, resilience and security principles.\n\nExperience working with cloud technologies such as AWS and/or Azure.\n\nWell-developed SQL and data analysis skills, including troubleshooting, optimisation and production support.\n\nExperience operating within modern DevOps environments, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.\n\nA track record of leading complex technical initiatives within business-critical technology environments.\n\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.\n\nPrevious experience mentoring and supporting engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes.\n\nDesirable\nExperience within energy trading, LNG, commodities, ETRM/CTRM or related trading environments.\n\nExperience with EOS, Endur or other energy trading platform technologies.\n\nKnowledge of scheduling, logistics, settlements, valuation or cargo management systems.\n\nExperience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor or similar technologies.\n\nWhy should you apply? \nWe’re not a perfect place - but we’re a people place.
