You'll own engineering execution across multiple teams, set technical direction, and partner closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to ship reliable, secure, and scalable software. This is a hands-on leadership role: equal parts people management, technical strategy, and delivery accountability.\n\nThe candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions: \n\nEngineering Leadership: \nLead, mentor, and grow multiple engineering teams (typically 15-40 engineers across squads, including engineering managers and tech leads).\nSet and uphold a culture of ownership, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nHire, develop, and retain top engineering talent; manage performance, career growth, and succession planning.\n\nTechnical Strategy and Architecture: \nDefine and drive the technical roadmap in alignment with company and product goals.\nMake sound build-vs-buy and architecture decisions that balance speed, scalability, security, and cost.\nChampion engineering best practices: code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and documentation.\n\nDelivery and Execution: \nOwn end-to-end delivery of major initiatives from planning and estimation through release and post-launch reliability.\nEstablish and track engineering metrics (velocity, reliability, quality, cycle time) and use them to drive improvement.\nIdentify and remove bottlenecks, manage risk, and keep delivery predictable.\n\nReliability and Security: \nEnsure systems meet high standards for uptime, performance, data integrity, and security appropriate to a financial platform.\nPartner on compliance, data privacy, and regulatory requirements relevant to wealth and fintech.\nBuild and improve incident response, on-call practices, and operational maturity.\n\nCross-functional Partnership: \nCollaborate with Product and Design to translate business strategy into technical execution.\nCommunicate progress, trade-offs, and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.\nContribute to budgeting, vendor decisions, and resource planning.\n\nRequirements: \nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.\n10+ years in software engineering, including 4+ years leading engineering teams (managing managers is a plus).\nProven track record of delivering complex, scalable, production-grade software systems.\nStrong foundation in software architecture, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), and modern engineering practices.\nExperience building and scaling high-performing engineering teams.\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.\nExperience in fintech, wealthtech, banking, or another regulated/financial domain.\nFamiliarity with data security, compliance frameworks, and handling sensitive financial data.\nExperience with microservices, event-driven
