The ideal candidate will also have practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure and database services (Azure, AWS, or OCI) and modern software delivery practices.\n\nDevOps is a secondary responsibility. The candidate should understand how CI/CD pipelines, how to build automation, deployments, monitoring, and release processes work, but this is not primarily an infrastructure administration role.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead the architecture and development of full-stack applications. \nDesign scalable backend services, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. Programming languages used may vary, though typically it is C#, Java, Python, or Node. \nBuild responsive and maintainable frontend applications. Technologies may vary, but React and Angular are commonly used by our clients as well as frameworks like Twitter Bootstrap, Material Design, or Tailwind. \nExperience using AI Coding agents effectively is a plus, though we can also train you on the job to use these tools effectively (configuring AGENTS.md, skills, plan versus build modes, etc)\nMake architectural decisions covering performance, security, scalability, and maintainability. \nDevelop and integrate applications using Azure, OCI, or AWS services. \nDesign database schemas and data-access strategies using SQL and NoSQL databases. \nReview code and establish engineering standards across projects. \nGuide teams in software architecture, design patterns, testing, and delivery practices. \nCollaborate with product, engineering, cloud, security, and operations teams. Strong communication skills and ability to learn a customer's business domain is a must. \nTroubleshoot complex application, integration, performance, and production issues. \nContribute to CI/CD pipeline design and deployment automation. Technologies can include simple bash scripting, kubernetes/containerization, Ansible, or terraform, though we do not expect you to be an expert in all of these. \nUnderstand and improve build, release, rollback, and environment-promotion processes. \nSupport observability through logging, monitoring, alerting, and application diagnostics. \nMentor senior and junior engineers. \nAdapt quickly across different client domains, technology stacks, and project requirements. \n\nRequired Skills and Experience\n\n9 + years of professional experience in software development, architecture, or related engineering roles. \nStrong hands-on experience developing full-stack applications. \nProfessional experience with at least one backend technology, such as:\n.NET/C# (preferred)\nPython (preferred)\nJava (nice to have)\nNode.js (nice to have)\nStrong frontend experience with one or more modern frameworks:\nReact (preferred)\nReact Native (preferred)\nAngular (nice to have)\nVue.js (nice to have)\nProven experience designing REST APIs, microservices, integrations, and distributed systems. \nStrong knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. \nFamiliarity with NoSQL databases is beneficial. \nHands-on application development experience with Microsoft Azure, OCI, or AWS. \nUnderstanding of cloud services such as compute, storage, databases, messaging, serverless, identity, networking, and monitoring. \nStrong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, clean code, and testing. \nExperience with Git-based development workflows and code reviews. \nUnderstanding of CI/CD concepts, including:\nBuild and release pipelines\nAutomated testing\nArtifact management\nEnvironment-specific configuration\nDeployment approvals\nRollbacks\nWorking knowledge of Docker and containerized application deployment. \nStrong problem-solving and communication skills. \nDevOps and Cloud Knowledge\n\nDevOps is a supporting responsibility. Candidates should have practical knowledge of:\n\nAzure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools. \nYAML or Classic CI/CD pipelines. \nInfrastructure and application deployment workflows. \nDocker and basic Kubernetes concepts is beneficial. \nEnvironment management across development, QA, staging, and production. \nApplication logging, monitoring, and alerting. \nBasic Terraform or Ansible knowledge is preferred. \nSecurity practices for cloud-hosted applications. \n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nPrevious experience as a technical lead, software architect, or principal engineer. \nExperience modernizing legacy applications and migrating workloads to Azure, OCI, or AWS. \nExperience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms. \nKnowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native application patterns. \nExperience with API gateways, authentication, authorization, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect. \nFamiliarity with Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or other NoSQL technologies. \nExperience with observability tools such as Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog. \nExperience working with AI-assisted development or integrating AI
