As the Senior Customer Service Representative you will serve as the primary source of contact for patients at CentroMed clinics and as such is responsible for welcoming patients into the system and ensuring they have positive experiences. The Senior CSR is responsible for registration and processing of all patients/families requesting health care services. Reconcile charges and payments at the end of each day. Maintain error-free balance sheets.\nAssist patients and visitors that walk into the clinic. Answer telephones identifying self and name of clinic.\nDemonstrate an excellent understanding of insurance and eligibility programs, specifically Ryan White funding streams and Medicaid.\nDemonstrate ability to schedule patient appointments according to established protocols.\nMaintain 100% self pay collection rate. Collect and secure all payments received at Clinic and abide by Daily Deposit Protocols. Demonstrate proficiency in collection of prior balances.\nPerform intake interview on all new patients using a standard registration form and financial packet. Demonstrate proficiency in calculating annual household income. Review and update household's financial and demographic information annually.\nKnowledge and complete understanding of the Electronic Health Record.\nFollow-up on no-shows as directed by provider.\nProvide training to students, clerks, and other personnel.\nDetermine patient eligibility for participation in special programs (i.e., Part A, Part A MAI, Title V, COPC, Methodist Healthcare Ministries, and others).\nAssist with scheduling of clerks to provide adequate coverage for departments.\nMaintain excellent personal attire to include uniform and nametag.\nDemonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.\nAssist clinical teams in patient assessment via observation and notify clinician in the event of an emergency.\nAbide by policies and procedures dictated in the Employee Safety Handbook.\nParticipate in the agency’s Quality Improvement Program.\nOther duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.\nThe above description is a general statement of required major duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continuous bases. It does not exclude other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent; one year of college or Medical Assistant certification preferred.\nExperience: Minimum of one year of administrative experience working in a health care setting. Experience in bookkeeping or accounting preferred.\nStrong clerical skills to include keyboarding and a good understanding of basic math.
