This is a role for someone who thrives on precision, teamwork, and continuous improvement.\nWhat You Will Do\nManage a group of Machinists and Senior Machinists to ensure schedules are met and production goals achieve positive variances\nReport project status and progress to management as needed\nMaintain strong communication and seamless collaboration with design, manufacturing, operations, and testing teams\nSet up and operate machines to verify performance, capability, and conformance to customer specifications\nInterpret prints, sketches, diagrams, specs, handbook formulas, layouts, and apply shop math (including trigonometry and descriptive geometry) \nUse all precision measuring tools-calipers, micrometers, gauges, dial indicators-to ensure part quality and configuration. \nSelect and install tools, fixtures, machine attachments, and equipment, identifying and correcting faulty tools when needed\nMonitor machining systems, including mechanical, electrical/electronic diagnostics, cutter data, probes, and sensors to adjust machine performance\nMaximize machine capacity while reducing setups and machining time\nPerform bench work and finishing operations to ensure parts meet required specifications\nAnalyze drawings and specifications to plan machining operations and build sequences\nEnsure alignment, tolerances, finishes, and functionality meet engineering and manufacturing standards\nWe'd Love to Hear from People With\n5+ years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment\n2+ years of supervisory or team-lead experience\nThe ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance\nA Successful Candidate Brings\nCompletion of an apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training\nExperience with Esprit CAD/CAM and CREO Manufacturing software\nAn active Q Clearance \nPay\nEstimated Starting Base Salary Range: $80,310-133,850. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
