If you thrive in a fast-paced, highly technical environment where precision matters and your judgment carries real operational weight, this role is for you.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead dynamic teams responsible for supplier quality assurance, quality control, and quality receipt inspection-ensuring independence, strong qualifications, and consistent execution.\nOwn the Approved Suppliers List and guide supplier lifecycle decisions, including evaluation, approval, restriction, and disqualification.\nDevelop and execute strategic supplier surveillance plans with hold, witness, and review points that ensure quality acceptance at every stage.\nConduct and coordinate audits, surveys, and performance assessments using a risk-based, graded oversight approach.\nOversee source verification and source release activities-confirming critical items before they leave supplier facilities.\nReview certifications, inspection records, and technical submittals for accuracy, completeness, and traceability.\nLead supplier corrective actions, preventive activities, and root-cause investigations that drive performance improvement.\nChampion suspect/counterfeit item prevention and detection within all purchased materials and equipment.\nPartner with Procurement to ensure purchase orders clearly communicate quality, documentation, acceptance criteria, and process requirements.\nOversee receipt inspection workflows to ensure all items are properly verified, documented, and assigned quality status.\nCollaborate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing Operations, and Quality teams on technical issues, risk management, audits, and nonconformance resolution.\nMaintain independence, uphold traceability, and ensure robust control of nonconforming materials.\nWe’d Love to Hear from Candidates With\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, physical sciences, or related technical field-or equivalent technical experience.\n5+ years of quality-related experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.\nStrong ability to interpret drawings, specifications, GD&T, and supplier documentation.\nHands-on knowledge of inspection methods and verification tools.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a DOE/NRC Q-level security clearance.\nA Successful Candidate Also Brings\nExperience with ASME NQA-1, ISO 9001, AS9100, or other regulated quality programs.\nBackground in supplier auditing, capability assessments, and corrective action management.\nFamiliarity with APQP, PFMEA, PPAP/FAI, or process capability analysis.\nProfessional certifications such as ASQ CQE/CQT/CQA, NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or relevant NDT credentials.\nPay:\nEstimated Starting Base Salary Range: $141,650-200,000 This position is incentive eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
