We provide a 5-day paid instructor training program to help you successfully transition into the classroom.\n Why Consider Teaching? \nMany experienced electricians never consider teaching-but those who do often discover it is one of the most rewarding and stable paths in their career. \nAt AIM, you’ll: \nShare your real-world electrical experience with future trades professionals\nEnjoy a more predictable schedule compared to field work\nMake a lasting impact on students entering the construction and electrical trades industry\nContinue developing your own technical knowledge while mentoring others\nWork in a structured, team-oriented educational environment \nAbout the Role \nAs a Construction Electrician Instructor (Electrical Trades Instructor), you will provide classroom and hands-on lab instruction in core electrical concepts and construction trade practices. \nYou will teach students across topics including: \nBasic electricity\nElectrical wiring methods\nElectric services\nConduit installation methods\nMotor principles\nElectrical controls\nLife safety systems\nConstruction safety practices \nThis role combines technical expertise, mentorship, and hands-on instruction to prepare students for successful careers in the electrical and construction trades industry. \nSchedule: \nMonday-Thursday: 8:00 am - 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm - 11:30 pm \n Key Responsibilities \nTeach electrical trades classes on a regularly scheduled basis\nCreate a welcoming and engaging learning environment for students\nDeliver hands-on instruction in classroom and lab settings\nAssist with curriculum development and course material preparation\nMaintain classroom tools, lab equipment, and instructional materials\nMaintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress\nSubmit evaluations, reports, and required documentation on time\nSupport student retention and academic success initiatives\nParticipate in instructor training, faculty meetings, and professional development\nAssist with equipment and supply inventory management\nCommunicate student attendance concerns and performance issues to leadership\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized training environment\nPerform additional duties as assigned by leadership \nQualifications \nEducation \nHigh School Diploma or GED required\nVocational, technical, or construction-related training preferred \nExperience \nMinimum 4 years of experience in the electrical or construction trades field\nExperience as a Construction Electrician, Commercial Electrician, Industrial Electrician, or Electrical Technician preferred\nPrevious vocational training or teaching experience is a plus \nSkills \nStrong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and construction safety\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven educational environment\nStrong organizational and multitasking abilities\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nStrong problem-solving and interpersonal skills\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint\nCampusNexus experience is a plus\nto support occasional evening, weekend, or travel requirements \nCertifications & Licenses \nOSHA 10-Hour Safety Certification within 6 months of hire\nCPR Certification current or obtained within 3 months of hire\nNCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) Certification within 6 months of hire \nWhat We Offer \nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package that supports your personal and professional well-being.
