Holly Engineering organization, including project engineering, reliability engineering, electrical power engineering, technical services, and drafting. Partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Finance, and Corporate resources while maintaining clear accountability for engineering analysis, reliability engineering, technical solutions, project development, and engineering quality.\nResponsibilities:\nLead, develop, and hold accountable the Engineering team, including project engineering, reliability engineering, electrical power engineering, drafting, and technical support resources, while demonstrating and reinforcing Century Aluminum’s Purpose, Values, and Mission and building strong technical capability, teamwork, engagement, and succession depth.\nEstablish meaningful measures for engineering, reliability, capital, and improvement initiatives; communicate significant technical risks, project status, priorities, and recommendations clearly to plant leadership and cross-functional stakeholders; and support achievement of plant business-plan and strategic objectives.\nProvide technical leadership in resolving complex process, equipment, electrical power, reliability, and production issues, including root-cause analysis and development of sustainable engineered solutions.\nRole Description\nLead the plant reliability engineering function, prioritizing resources against the highest safety,\noperational, production, and technical risks while partnering closely with Maintenance and\nOperations.\nDevelop, evaluate, and execute engineering and capital projects with clear scope, technical basis,\nbusiness justification, cost, schedule, risk assessment, and execution plans.\nCoordinate development of the plant's five-year and annual capital plans and ensure proposed\nprojects are sufficiently developed and technically sound before approval.\nEvaluate technical alternatives and investments using appropriate engineering and business\nanalysis, including safety, operational impact, reliability, cost, risk, return on investment, and longterm\nplant needs.\nIdentify and advance technologies, automation, controls, process improvements, and other\nengineered solutions that improve plant performance and long-term capability.\nEnsure engineering designs, projects, and activities comply with applicable safety, environmental,\nregulatory, Century, and recognized engineering standards.\nCommunicate significant technical risks, project status, priorities, and recommendations clearly to\nplant leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, and support achievement of plant business-plan\nand strategic objectives.Coordinate the activities of areas to assure focus on safety, training, and\nlabor relations.\nRequirements:\nEducation Bachelors in related field Masters in related field\nTechnical Experience 7+ years 10+ years\nManagement 3+ years 5+ years\nManufacturing 7+ years 10+ years\nTraining /Certifications\nNone Registered Professional Engineer (PE);\nContinuous Improvement, CRE, CMRP,\nProject Management, or other relevant certification.\nOther Preferred\nExperience in aluminum smelting\nDemonstrated strong project management skills and attention to detail\nAdditional Qualifications\nHigh proficiency in analytical thinking, structured problem solving, planning, and organizational\nskills.\nDemonstrated success in project and people management and the ability to create a positive,\nchallenging, team-oriented work environment.\nStrong leadership, mentoring, and coaching capability.\nAbility to build and sustain effective working relationships and collaborate across functions.\nAchievement-oriented with a high level of initiative and personal accountability.\nHighly effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to\nsuccessfully perform the essential functions of this position.
