As a fully qualified, career-level member of the team, you will provide the department with technical expertise to design, develop, test, and implement electrical and electronic product components. You will apply seasoned experience to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways. Responsibilities include:\nPlan and perform design development tasks from concept to implementation for projects of diverse scope.\nStudy and evaluate disciplinary or interdisciplinary aspects of new product or design concepts, including all necessary functions leading to presentation and recommendation of possible solutions.\nPlan and direct testing necessary to assure adequate performance of designs for all stages of design and development.\nProvide technical advice and particular expertise to department personnel.\nResponsible for the timely completion and adequacy of assigned development tasks for performance and compliance with standards.\nResponsible for the adequate documentation of performed tasks including descriptions, specifications, testing, and implementation.\nResponsible for the clear presentation of developments or designs at design reviews.\nProvide technical assistance to lower-level department personnel.\nIndependently take control and complete assigned major sections of a new product development effort.\nTroubleshoot production floor problems and complete design changes as a result of investigation.\nNetwork with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nSolid working knowledge of LTSpice, OrCAD, Verilog/VHDL. Demonstrated experience designing to FCC Class B EMC standards.\nMust be able to direct board layout designers to produce FCC Class B compliant designs.\nSupport other departments, troubleshoot circuit boards independently.\nMust possess good verbal and written communication skills for writing reports, interfacing with manufacturing, engineering, etc and be computer literate.\nPronounced abilities in understanding and application of engineering sciences such as mathematics, physics, engineering statistics, etc.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word.\nA self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.\nEducation/Experience\nBachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field required;
