The process gives physicists clues about how particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature.\n Introduction\nAs ATLAS Muon LS3 Integration and Installation Manager you will play a key role in the preparation and execution of activities during Long Shutdown 3 (LS3). You will be responsible for ensuring effective coordination across all ATLAS Muon sub-projects. You will closely follow daily work at P1 for Muon upgrade and maintenance projects, monitor progress, and take action to keep Muon activities on schedule. The role requires close collaboration with various ATLAS Muon sub-projects, ATLAS Technical Coordination (TC), and other relevant CERN groups. You will serve as the primary interface between the Muon projects and ATLAS TC, ensuring coherent planning, efficient execution, and comprehensive reporting of all activities.\nDuring Long Shutdown 3 (LS3, 2026-2030), the ATLAS Muon detector will undergo significant upgrades, including the installation of new detector systems and extensive maintenance of existing detector components. As the ATLAS Muon LS3 Integration and Installation Manager, you will play a central role in planning, coordinating, and monitoring these activities.\nFunctions\nResponsible for ensuring effective coordination of installation and integration activities across the Muon projects, tracking progress, identifying risks, and ensuring effective communication among all participating teams.\nAct as the liaison between the various Muon sub-projects and ATLAS TC, providing regular status updates and comprehensive documentation.\nDevelop, maintain, and monitor the integrated LS3 schedule for Muon installation, integration, and maintenance activities in close collaboration with ATLAS TC team.\nCoordinate and oversee technical activities on the ATLAS Muon detectors in the UX15 cavern.\nIdentify, manage, and resolve interface issues, schedule conflicts, and resource constraints across multiple projects and teams.\nOrganize and chair regular ATLAS Muon LS3 coordination meetings, collect status information, and maintain an overview of ongoing and planned activities.\nSupport Muon detector teams in coordinating LS3 activities to ensure timely delivery and efficient planning.\nPrepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, progress reports, and activity summaries.\n PhD or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Physics or a related field.\nExperience:\nProven experience in coordinating activities for large-scale detector systems or comparable complex scientific installations.\nDemonstrated experience in planning and managing work program involving multiple teams and stakeholders.\nDemonstrated experience coordinating complex technical projects, managing competing priorities, and resolving planning, scheduling, and resource constraints in a multidisciplinary environment.\nExperience with safety systems and safety-related technical infrastructure.\nFamiliarity with installation, integration, commissioning, or maintenance activities in large scientific facilities is considered an asset.\nTechnical competencies:\nAssembly and integration of detectors.\nKnowledge and application of gas based particle detection technologies.\nTesting and validation of detector, accelerator and beam line components.\nAssembly and integration of infrastructure for detectors or experimental facilities.\nOrganisation, planning and control.\nTeam management.\nBehavioural competencies:\nDemonstrating Accountability: using openness and honesty to interact constructively with others.\nDemonstrating Flexibility: adapting quickly and resourcefully to shifting priorities and requirements.\nSolving Problems: producing workable and timely solutions that meet requirements.\nManaging Self: taking initiative beyond regular tasks and making things happen.\nLanguage skills:\nSpoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French.\n Eligibility and closing date:\nDiversity has been an integral part of CERN's mission since its foundation and is an established value of the Organization.
