In your role, you'll be instrumental in making a real impact in the communities we serve, embodying our purpose every day.\nOverview\nJob Summary\nInspects dated items, maintains rotates and replenishes stock in a safe and efficient manner to meet customer purchasing needs. Generally works 6-8 hour shifts between the hours of 8:00 pm to 8:00 am.\nTypical Duties and Responsibilities\nMaintains the quality condition of dated items.\nCompletes the Scanned Item Rotation Report at the beginning of each shift and flags items pending rotation within allowable rotation time standards.\nPulls product prior to expiration and rotates daily per guidelines using the Quality Assurance Display.\nMaintains Quality Assurance database daily including addition of new or untracked items once the database for the store has been established using the Scanned Item Exception Report.\nScans out Quality Assurance pulled stale/damaged product at the backroom scanner.\nPeriodically inspects vendor items reporting short dated issues to the Receiver and Assistant Manager.\nPeriodically inspects outer department rotation.\nPeriodically inspects LRQT (Large Quantity Items) rotation.\nAudits flagged items thrown by freight crew reporting findings to the Assistant Manager.\nReports repeated rotation issues to the Assistant Manager and appropriate Department Manager.\nReports ongoing rotation issues to the Store Manager.\nNotifies store management of large quantities of product pending expiration within two weeks (sooner for refrigerated LRQT) so management can determine whether the product will be marked down.\nAssists customers with questions; performs training duties.\nMaintains a safe, secure and sanitary work environment.\nPerforms all job duties and responsibilities with honesty and integrity.\nReports short dated product shipping from the warehouse to appropriate Warehouse Inventory Supervisor including order number and UPC number.\nOccasionally transmits data to General Office.\nPerforms other duties as assigned or needed.Requirements Ability to:\nWork varied shifts in a 24/7 operation; including night, weekends and holidays.\nReach, lift, stack and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to 40 lbs., within the range of floor level to overhead occasionally.\nStand, walk and move rapidly for long periods of time.\nBend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.\nEnsure safe and accurate completion of work activities.\nLearn and memorize location of products, company policies, and Quality Assurance procedures.\nExhibit manual dexterity and good hand/eye coordination to rotate product.\nConduct visual inspection of merchandise being placed on shelves.\nCommunicate (hearing & speech) to provide customer service during shift.\nPerform primary duties efficiently and accurately.\nMeet or exceed established scanned item rotation report time standards.\nMust be 18 years of age or older.\nMachines and Equipment Operated:\nPallet jack\nHand truck\nGarbage and cardboard compactor\nElectronic fork lift\nScanner and AS-400\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by the employees assigned to this job.
